It is time for the council meeting and Tywin finally names his advisors. Lyanna has a small encounter with Olenna which has her thinking. I hope you guys like it. 🥰

Also since this a Lannister & Stark friendly story, it will not be good to Daenerys. She will be mentioned on the story, but will no make an appearance.

Lyanna was aware of how important image was. Tywin had taught her that no matter what someone's true feelings were people only saw the image others portrayed. She had learned that lesson very well, and she knew what was expected of her on this day. She knew that showing her support for her family on this day was important. Tywin would choose the small council members today. They had talked about it for a few days, and Tywin had even asked her what she thought of the people who served on the council now. To be honest, Lyanna did not trust most of the people in the Red Keep, but the ones on the small council were of special concern. She did not trust any of them and she knew that Tywin did not either.
Lyanna's red gown proclaimed to all that she was also a Lannister, the gown had small, barely there details in gold, mostly on the sleeves. She had left her neck bare, not wanting to wear any ostentatious necklaces to take attention away from the gown. She was wearing the gold earrings Tywin had gifted her when they found rubies and sapphires in the mines. Most of her dark hair had been braided, leaving a few loose curls to frame her face and neck. Tywin had sent her several jewelry design drawings, telling her to pick her favorite ones and he would send them to the jewelers. Her good father insisted she needed new jewels to go with her new title. Now she was a princess and a future queen. Lyanna was still attempting to get used to her new title, not sure if she was ready for that.
Lyanna entered the small council chambers, smiling at all the lords already present, who all stood up when she entered. Tywin remained sitting, giving her an amused smile as she approached him and Jaime. Her husband gave her a secretive smile, causing her to blush. She took a seat beside him, returning his smile with a more demure one.
"I apologize for my tardiness." She gave all the lords present a pleasant smile. "I was a bit caught up."
"Nonsense." Tywin shook his head, looking around the room. "We have not started yet, so you are just in time."
"Good." She gave her good father a thankful look, she knew how much Tywin hated people who were late.
"My lords, I have been looking at the work all of you have done throughout the years as council members and have decided to make some changes." No one said anything, but Lyanna could see how nervous they were. "The changes have to do with certain things that happened under your watch and there are other people I consider better for the job. Tyrion Lannister, I name you the master of coin, I am sure you will perform your duties well." Lyanna gave Tyrion a small smile, seeing the disbelief in his eyes. He had not expected his father to give him any positions. "Ser Kevan Lannister, I name you the master of laws, I am sure you will perform your duties well."
"Thank you, your grace." Kevan bowed his head. Lyanna knew that Kevan would be an excellent master of laws, he was very knowledgeable.
"Ser Barristan Selmy will keep his position as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, and Varys will keep his position as master of whispers." Lyanna hid her smile behind her wine cup at the relieved look on Varys's face. The look she did not like was on Pertyr Baelish's face, Lyanna did not trust the man. She had seen the way he looked at her mother and her sister. She still had trouble forgetting the lust in his eyes when he had looked at Lyarra. "Lord Baelish, I will speak to you about a new position in a few days, but it will not be in the small council. I will ask you to leave."
The other man nodded, not saying anything as he stood up and left the chambers. She would have to keep an eye on him, making sure he did not do anything that would cause problems for them. Tywin glared at Pycelle and Lyanna knew what was coming, she did not need to read Tywin's mind to know that he did not like the maester.
"Maester Pycelle, you will no longer be the grand master." The old man opened his mouth but did not say anything as Tywin glared at him. "I will bring my maester from Casterly Rock, I have already sent for him. He will be the new grand maester."
"I believe that is a good idea." Kevan looked around the room before clearing his throat. "Have you thought who should be master of ships?"
"I am still thinking about it." Tywin tapped a long finger on the table, looking at the people present in the room. He took a deep breath before. "For the final naming of the day. Princess Lyanna, I name you hand of the king. I am sure you will perform your duties well."
Everyone in the room went quiet, looking at Lyanna wide-eyed. She was not sure how she was supposed to react, she had no idea Tywin would name her hand of the king. When he invited her to the meeting, she believed that it was due to her being Jaime's wife and the future queen. She had believed it was meant as a show of support, to show the people in Kings Landing that he supported her.
"Thank you, your grace." Lyanna took the Hand's pin, giving Tywin a small smile. "I will try my best to meet your expectations."
"Your grace." Everyone looked to Pycelle, who looked appealed. "There has never been a woman hand and I do not think you should start your reign by naming one so young."
"Maester Pycelle." Tywin's tone was low and some of the people in the room flinched. "If I wanted your opinion I would have asked for it. Since you are no longer part of this council I do not think there is any reason for you to be here."
Two of the red cloaks moved toward the old maester who swallowed before standing up and walking out of the room. Everyone still appeared a bit shocked, while Jaime looked at her proudly, giving her a bright smile.
"Does anyone else have any opinions about the namings today?" Everyone shook their heads, not saying anything and Tywin nodded. "Good, then if you could all leave, I have a few things to talk about with my new hand."
Everyone stood up, bowing before leaving the room. Jaime gave Lyanna an amused smile, before taking her mouth with his. Lyanna was shocked for a moment, she did not think he would kiss her like this in front of his father. Her husband did not seem too worried that the king was present. Lyanna was panting by the time he ended the kiss.
"I will see you later." He ran a finger down the side of her face, the tone in his voice not leaving any doubt about what he wanted to see her for.
Lyanna was sure her face was as red as her gown. Tywin was looking at her, amusement in his face. She cleared her throat, not knowing how to look at her good father without giving herself away. Tywin thought that her marriage had been consummated moons before, she did not think letting him know it had not happened until last night would be a good idea.
"I can see things are better between you and my son."
"Yes, we are attempting to get along." She could not tell him that the real reason was because Jaime had discovered his sister's lies. She cleared her throat, looking at her good father, determination on her face. "I wanted to speak to you about the position of master of ships."
"What about it?"
"I think you should leave Stannis as master of ships." Tywin frowned. "There is no one more knowledgeable about ships than Stannis, and doing this will be a good step in getting him to accept your rule."
"I do not need him to accept my rule."
"Yes, you do." Lyanna had never been one to back down, especially when she knew she was right. She would not start now, just because Tywin was king. "You do not want to start your rule by plunging the realm into war. Like it or not Stannis was also in line to the throne and you took that away, making some concessions would go a long way. I could ask him to take his daughter as one of my ladies in waiting."
"You might be right." He let out a sigh and she could tell he did not like that she was making sense. "I will send a raven to Dragonstone, and see if he will come to Kings Landings to talk."
"Good." Lyanna was the one to sigh this time, this next part was harder to bring up. She did not want to, but she had to think about her family. "Another thing we need to speak about is Daenerys Targaryen. I have heard rumors about three dragons."
"They are still very young. Not really able to protect her yet."
"Yes, but they will grow." She hated herself for saying this, but there were not too many choices. "We have to do something about her. She will not just stay on the other side of the narrow sea and she will not let us live once she comes back."
"So you believe we should get rid of her?" Laynna nodded, she felt bad about it but knew that the only way for them to be safe was for Daenerys to die. Tywin looked thoughtful for a moment. "Let me give it some thought."
"Great." Lyanna stood up, smiling at her good father. "I will see you at supper. I have a lot to read now that I am hand of the king."
"You will be excellent." She was thankful that Tywin seemed to trust her and believed in her. "Just like I know you will be an excellent queen."
That thought was a bit more scary than being hand of the king. She was not sure how good of a hand she would be, but she wanted to try her best and help the people of the seven kingdoms.
