Error's POV ??? later
I slowly wake up, unable to see anything but I can feel my entire body screaming in pain. Must've lost my glasses at some point. I move my arm and instantly the pain worsens as I feel multiple wires digging into my bones. I can hear screams around me, sounding like pure pain. But I recognize one scream coming from Horror.
Oh hell no!
I rip the wires off of me and snap my fingers, summoning a blaster once feeling a glass barrier keeping me from Horror. I break out, quickly running to his screams and blasting into his space. I hear a machine turn off and his screams fade.
"Dad...? What are you doing? You're in no shape to do this! You could get seriously hurt! Here, sit with me! You shouldn't be up!"He says worriedly
He takes me by the hand, guiding me to sit beside him.
"I cAnNoT sEe aNyThiNg aNd fEel liKe sHuT afTeR a ReBo0t. WhErE aRe wE aNd h0w l0ng wAs i oUt?"I ask, using my strings and hands to check him for wounds.
"Hard to say how long since time doesn't seem to move forward here. If anything, I've seen clocks go backward. We are locked in cells for experiments. The ones that took us claim to be Fate's followers and seek to test the possibilities with lowly specimens as Fate did. They made this lab to trap and experiment on them as they pleased. It blocks out any possible portals that they could summon. I've been able to watch everything done to you and it makes me sick."He says
Then I hear the sound of a baby crying and Horror sighs.
"The experiments on me rushed the birth of Solros, so congrats on meeting your grandson now."He says
The cries fade when he says that and I feel a tiny hand grip my pinkie. Then giggles ring out and I smile when I don't glitch upon contact. I smile, hugging them both close.
"What do you mean you let him leave? He's a witness! You don't let witnesses leave alive! That twerp could mean the end for us! And he'd be the perfect specimen to sell off and save us the time of wasting resources on these mistakes!"A voice shouts
"He won't be seeing anything anymore! He's too young to even know what he witnessed and probably too scared to talk! We don't have to worry!"Another voice says
"WhAt Is tHaT?"I ask
"The director is yelling at his subordinates again for letting Radier escape. They blinded him from what I hear but this means that they have wasted time on you and the director is not happy. Most of the experiments have been using you and other samples from other so-called specimens to create children to sacrifice to Nim. However, only one child has resulted from the tests on you that they call Phenomenon #1. I have no clue how they got so many sources of Mom's code or DNA to mix with others."He tells me
I hear a voice crying like a little baby.
"That's her. Let's get her out."He says, taking me by the hand.
I nod.
Oh hell no...This child is not getting sacrificed to Nim of all people. Experiment or not. A kid doesn't deserve to deal with HER SHIT! Think...We will have to do whatever we can to stay out of trouble. Can't do anything impulsive since there's no easy escape route and with Horror or my conditions, we can't fight. I can feel both of us limping....And then there's Solros who is in danger....Can't put ourselves at more risk than we already are.
CRASH!
"Seems like she was expecting us.."Horror says as I feel glass shards whiz past me, some skimming my arms or legs lightly.
Then I feel two tiny hands grab onto me and a happy glitched giggle.
"Let's get back to my cell. It is much more secure there."He says, guiding me by the hand.
