I look at the mystery voice, to my left a woman of short stature stand next to me.. shrouded in black mist and fog.
"Who are you?"
"Can't say, sorry. But you are dreaming. Have been for 7 years... You are waking up now, we will meet again Kaiser."
Slowly the landscape darkens.. the far mountains disappear into a void...
"Not to imply that you have been sleeping on the job, no one is more deserving of a rest..." she stopped and faced me, even without eyes she peered into my soul, she spoke again "The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world. So wake up, Kaiser. Wake up and smell the ashes."
Waking world, Chernobog sarcophagus.
Unknown POV
"He's waking! Quick injections-"
The medical staff were cutoff quickly as the man batted their hands away before stirring. A new voice rang with authority putting a stop to their movements.
"Wait! Let him move! The Dokutah has a regeneration unseen by any other, he will be fine!"
The medic looked at her incredulously "Amiya are you positive? If you are wrong he could be hurt behind what we could-"
She was cut off abruptly, by the now named Amiya "Yes. I have complete faith."
Everyone looked at the man's body, watching him move, it was a spectacle, no person would be able to function this early after so long in suspension... but then again this was no ordinary person...
"Uuuggghhh.... Holy shit my head..." he croaked out, raising an arm slowly to his head "Feels like I got hit by a land ship-"
He sat up quickly looking around to get his bearings, taking account of who was in the building. Noticing Amiya, the Guard, the Medic...
"Well I'll be damned... I'm awake.."
"Dokutah!"
Amiya screamed as she hugged him.
"Ha! Amiya! You've grown so much since I last saw you... you've... grown..."
Realization struck him... he was in there far far longer than predicted or wanted.. and that worried him more than anything currently.
"Amiya.. how long was I in there.."
"Kaiser... 7 years..."
7 years?? No.. no it couldn't be, he couldn't have been gone for that long? His nieces, his family, his friends... Rhodes Island, Mother... Matilda...
She saw the look in his eyes, she knew what he felt. But they had bigger problems as the building started to shake violently
RRRUMMBBBLLEEE
"Dokutah we need to move! I am transferring command to you seeing as your memories are still intact!"
"Got it little bunny." He turned to the other 2 in the room "Medic and Guard I assume? Follow my lead I'll get us out!"
Both nodded, as the Guard went to open the door, it was summarily busted down by a man wearing a white mask...
"Oh shit-" the guard barely managed to say before he was stabbed and thrown back.
Kaiser was the first to jump in, with speed surpassing even Vanguards he landed an inhuman punch to the grunt sending the man through a wall and impacting him into the concrete. What was left... was a sizable crater covered in thin red paste...
"Medic! Get over here and give him medical attention, I am taking point! Amiya blast any unlucky sonuva bitch dumb enough to get past me."
She nodded and readied her arts, determination sparking at her fingertips. As the Medic treated the Guards wounds.
Outside building
Doberman was told to guard the place while Amiya and a couple people found the Doctor.. she trusted Amiya completely but had doubts.. and now Reunion were here.
She and her group were fighting, what she didn't notice few snuck by and got through her defenses.
"Do not let them pass! We must give Amiya time!"
She used her whip to great effect, immobilizing and electrocuting grunts who got too close while guards and vanguards dealt with others. Casters and Snipers keeping the rest from advancing...
That was until the heat raised...
Everyone felt it, even the reunion members felt it, its like the air itself was on fire. The battlefield stopped, everyone stood still eyeing each other trying to breathe in the newfound heat.
As both sides retreated, both sides trying desperately to figure out what was going on to cause such a sudden shift, the building Rhodes Island was protecting suddenly had its front door blown open with such force it blew almost all reunion away, and out stepped a mountain of a man...
He scanned the battlefield, noticing Doberman. She saw the look in his eye and immediately called for everyone to duck into cover. As she did he raised his hand as a purple ball formed, reunion members were gaining their footing once more but it was too late.

"Fucking Reunion. Went from protesting to open terrorism... now just dust..."
He looked to Doberman and smiled widely
"Doberman! Am I glad to see you still alive! How have you been?!"
She stood shakily, not remembering him being this powerful, he just utterly decimated that entire small army of soldiers like it was nothing and here he was talking to her like no time had passed.
"Kaiser..? Is it really you??"
"Doberman, my little Lehrerin! (Teacher!) Of course it's me!"
He called her His little teacher. Yea it was him all right.. She ran to him, embracing the big man into a hug.
"Kaiser! It's been too long! You have been gone for far longer than we expected everyone thought you were dead!"
"Ha! I ain't! Thanks to Amiya here I'm back, now let's get to extraction yes?"
She strained herself out, calling her troops she formulated a plan placing Kaiser at the head. They had to cover some ground to get to EVAC.. they just hoped they could outrun the catastrophe..
