The Southern Water Tribe had come under attack by the Fire Nation, and Aeyenna was desperately searching through the chaotic village for her mother, Kya. As she entered the house, her heart sank when she saw a Fire Nation soldier in the room with her mother.

Aeyenna whispered urgently, "Mom!"

Kya turned swiftly, her eyes filled with both relief and concern upon seeing her daughter.

Kya spoke softly, "Aeyenna, you have to go. Get your siblings and find your father. Hurry!"

Aeyenna hesitated, torn between staying with her mother and following her instructions to protect her younger siblings and find her father.

Tears welled up in Aeyenna's eyes as she began to speak, "But Mom, I can't leave you!"

With determination, Kya whispered, "You have to, sweetie. You're strong, and you need to keep Sokka and Katara safe. Remember who you are and where you come from."

Kya quickly ripped off her betrothal necklace and pressed it into Aeyenna's hand.

Urgently, she said, "Take this, please."

Aeyenna clutched the necklace tightly, her eyes filled with gratitude and sorrow.

With a soft voice, Aeyenna said, "I love you, Mom."

Kya's reply was a heartfelt whisper, "I love you too, Aeyenna. Now go, and don't look back."

As Aeyenna hesitated at the doorway, torn between staying with her mother and following her mother's instructions to protect her younger siblings, the Fire Nation soldier glared at her. He barked, "Listen to your mom, girl!"

His harsh words echoed in Aeyenna's ears, adding to the turmoil in her heart. She glanced back at her mother one last time, her eyes filled with determination to honor her mother's wishes, and then she hurriedly left the house.

Appa soared gracefully above the mountainous landscape, carrying Aang, Katara, Sokka, Aeyenna, and Hiroshi.

Aang paced anxiously on Appa's saddle, his breath quickened. "Could you please sit down?" Sokka called out from his spot on Appa's head. "If we hit a bump, you'll go flying off. What's bugging you anyway?"

Anxiously, Aang replied, "It's what Avatar Roku said. I'm supposed to master all four elements before that comet arrives."

Sokka, facing Aang with a sarcastic grin, retorted, "Well, let's see. You pretty much mastered airbending and that only took you a hundred and twelve years. I'm sure you can master three more elements by next summer."

Aang's expression turned fearful. "I haven't even started waterbending and we're still weeks away from the North Pole. What am I gonna do?"

Katara grabbed Aang's arm reassuringly. "Calm down, it's going to be okay." Aang sat down in front of her. "If you want, I can try to teach you some of the stuff I know."

Aang smiled. "You'd do that?"

Katara nodded and gazed over the side of Appa's saddle. "We'll need to find a good source of water first."

Sokka grinned sarcastically. "Maybe we can find a puddle for you to splash in."

The group soon stood before a magnificent waterfall and river.

Sokka frowned beside Katara and Aang's excited faces. "Nice puddle."

Appa descended into the river, creating a huge splash that drenched Momo and nearly knocked him off his rock. Aang grinned and exclaimed, "Yeah! Don't start without me, boy!" He charged into the water, shirtless.
