Chapter 13- 𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℕ𝕠𝕣𝕥𝕙 ℙ𝕠𝕝𝕖

The way I forgot this was a Zuko fanfic, I'm sorry y'all. Bare with me😭😭

"Teo was sweet," Aeyenna reminisced, thinking back to their recent visit to the northern air temple.

"He was a little too friendly," Hiroshi murmured.

Aeyenna playfully nudged Hiroshi. "Come on, he's just a sweet kid."

"A kid who had a crush on you," Sokka interjected.

Aeyenna shot her brother a dagger-filled glare. "Not helping, Sokka."

As they continued flying on Appa, Aeyenna noticed a koala otter peacefully floating on its back in the water, purring slightly. Suddenly, it sensed something approaching from the right, turned its head, chirped, and gracefully dove underwater as Appa soared overhead.

Flying just above the water, Sokka hung lazily over the back of Appa's saddle, grumbling. "I'm not one to complain, but can't Appa fly any higher?"

Before Sokka's complaint could fully escape his lips, Appa lost more altitude, his paws briefly dragging through the water before rising again. Katara, propped up on her elbows, stared ahead with an absent expression, and Aang, atop Appa's head, shot a peeved look back at Sokka.

Irritably, Aang pointed angrily at Sokka. Katara briefly glanced at Aang but returned to her distant gaze. "I have an idea! Why don't we all get on your back, and you could fly us to the North Pole?!"

Aeyenna's eyes met Hiroshi's, and they pursed their lips, trying to suppress laughter.

Sokka glanced over his shoulder, sarcastically remarking, "I'd love to." He gestured to his back. "Climb on, everyone." Playfully shaking his rear, he added, "Sokka's ready for takeoff."

Sunny, bounced on Sokka's back, earning an annoyed glare from him. Meanwhile, Aang continued to shoot angry looks at Sokka.

Katara waved her hands up and down, shifting her gaze between Aang and Sokka. "Look, we're all just a little tired and cranky because we've been flying for two days straight."

Sunny now sat on Sokka's lap, being petted by him. "And for what? We can't even find the Northern Water Tribe. There's nothing up here."

Hiroshi glanced around the vast ocean of water and ice.

Aeyenna looked up in wonder when a slushing sound could be heard. The water in front of Appa suddenly rose and solidified into ice spikes.

Aang screamed, his eyes wide in horror, violently yanking the reins to his right in an attempt to avoid the sudden obstacle. Appa growled and turned.

Everyone yelled in fright, holding on for dear life to the sides of the saddle. Appa swerved, shooting up as another ice spike manifested right in front of him.

Appa was not quick enough, and part of the ice attached itself to his leg, freezing instantly. His momentum caused the ice to break, but he was thrown off balance and catapulted away.

Katara, Sokka, Hiroshi, and Aeyenna erupted in a chorus of screams as Appa spiraled down, crashing into the water with a colossal splash. As he righted himself, the surrounding water instantaneously froze, trapping him in place.

Emerging from the ice, Water Tribe boats with skilled waterbenders encircled the team. Katara and Hiroshi exchanged alarmed glances, Aeyenna poised for a fight, while Sokka fumbled for his boomerang on the saddle.

In the midst of the tense scene, Aeyenna voiced her confusion, "They're waterbenders?"

With elation, Katara announced, "We found the Water Tribe!"
