R O S A N N A' S P. O. V:
Thirty minutes into the special simulation Class, and I was nervously thinking about the plot of Hibiscus Wisps, that I should've properly memorized in my head.
Now all that is left is anxiously awaiting a new life threatening situation, and remembering blurry words that may or may not help me.
.
Few Minutes Earlier...
Kairos, as usual, stood in the midst of our gathering and before we all could rejoice that there was no unexpected Simulation, or Pocket Dimension, he suddenly brought up a series of shocking words.
“You all must have wondered why there was no Simulation test today, but I have good news,” Kairos smiled.
His smile was not particularly a normal smile, but the one that
derived joy out of people's sufferings. It was a mischievous curve of his lips, and I had an ominous feeling.“Class 3A Alpha will be going on a trip in a Pocket Dimension. Surprised?” His gaze flashed over every one of us, smile present not withstanding the serious expressions on our faces that had no joking hint.
“With all I've taught, the lessons and trainings you've had in the academy, I expect each one of you to have gained noteable survival skills. And this would be your first official test of the Simulation Class.”
I don't know the boldness that overtook me, or perhaps the fear rather that prompted my words, but I spoke out in this oppressive silence.
The stillness after Kairos' words was one of speechlessness from the class. We were all shocked, and had no perfect response. But I had a load amount of words that needed to be said.
“Sir, I am not... Opposing your words,” I started up hesitantly, my voice coming out loud and clear in the silence. My mind was already whirling with confusion and questions at Kairos' statements.
“But I don't exactly get what you mean by a trip into a pocket dimension. From my research, pocket dimensions with a short duration or quest is only capable of holding 1-10 individuals. But for a pocket dimension capable of holding every student here, does that not imply it is at least a B-Grade dimension?”
I paused, fingers getting extremely sweaty with the amount of nerves which were on high. The stares were not helping either, and neither was Kairos' indescribable expression. But I continued. Because this sudden test was a bit wonky.
“B-Grade Pocket dimensions and above can hold many participants, but the quest or quests requires on average, a period of one week for skilled professionals to solve. And if my analysis is correct, if we all go into a B-Grade or above dimension, a few hours lecture time wouldn't suffice....”
‘And in conclusion, what the hell are you planning, Kairos? And where the hell do you intend to test us? Was there a setting like this in the Book? Indeed I can recall something similar but... Damn it, I'm so confused!’
“Good analysis, Rosanna.” Kairos commended, an approving look on his face, but a teasing glint in his eyes.
He swept his gaze to the other students who awaited answers to my statement. And finally he revealed everything.
