We sprint through the halls of the ministry, stopping in the elevator to catch our breath. As the doors open we're met with yet another dark and ominous corridor. I've lost count of how many of those I've seen in my life. We walk down until we reach the door at the end, opening it to reveal a pitch black room, we had to Lumos our wands for light before seeing many, many shelves lined with crystal balls of all sizes, everywhere we turn.
Harry walks ahead of us, looking up at the balls of prophesies, trying to find the one Voldemort would be after. The reason why Arthur was attacked. And why Harry recently saw 'Padfoot' in his dream.
Sirius.
"It should be here."
Harry announces, looking back at us.
"Harry."
Neville spoke from behind me.
"It's got your name on it."
He says softly, looking up at the shelf that was just a bit taller than he was.
Harry walked over, and slowly reached for the small crystal ball. As he stares into it, the ball faintly lights up as the smoke inside swirls around and a voice echoes.
"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies...."
"Harry!"
Hermione speaks up, seeing a figure emerge at the end of the hall. A death eater, who's walking towards us.
"Where's Sirius?"
Harry demands, pointing his lit wand at the figure.
"You know, you really should learn to tell the difference between dreams.."
The figure spoke before using his wand to remove his mask, revealing none other than Lucius Malfoy himself.
"..and reality."
He spoke, looking directly at us.
"You saw only what the Dark Lord wanted you to see."
His attention then turns to Asteria.
"Asteria Lucina Malfoy. Why am I not surprised you're here with this lot, even after your initiation."
I look to her, a shocked expression on my face.
"Initiation?"
I ask before we're interrupted again.
"Now, hand me the prophecy."
He says, holding out his hand.
"You do anything to us, I'll break it."
Harry spoke back to him.
A woman's laugh echoes around us as she comes into view behind Lucius.
"He knows how to play.. Itty-bitty baby Potter."
"Aunt Bella.."
Asteria mutters under her breath.
"Bellatrix Lestrange."
Neville spoke up.
"Neville Longbottom, is it?"
Bellatrix spoke with a grin.
"How's mum and dad?"
"Better now they're about to be avenged."
He spoke, before raising his wand at her, quickly being stopped by Harry.
"Now, let's everybody just calm down. Shall we?"
Lucius spoke again.
"All we want is that prophecy. And for Asteria to return to me."
