Monday afternoon
"Are you sure he doesn't hate me" I ask Xander, he came to check on me during my lunch break
"He doesn't hate you Amara, he just needs time" I sigh
"I hope I didn't start anything between you two"
He chuckles
"No we're good he told me to take of you. if I don't he'll..."
"Rip out your throat" I say cutting him off
"How did you.."
"Lucky guess" I shrug
We talk for 20more minutes and then he leaves for business
I walk to the back and find Abby and lili talking about something
"Hey Lilith can we talk" she smiles and nods
Abby leaves us and I begin
"I'm really sorry about Ethan"
She laughs
"What's there to be sorry for Amara it's not your fault you're gorgeous" I chuckle lightly
"I'm so glad this doesn't affect our friendship" she comes over and gives me a hug
"Me too now. You have to tell me" I look at her confused
"Do you like him"

I don't know how to answer but I know she needs me to tell her the truth

I ignore the voice whispering to me
"I did, right now, I'm not sure please don't be mad I didn't tell you sooner" I plead
"I'm fine Amara really" she smiles
"Thanks" and then we get back to work

Xander came to pick me up after work and we drove to burger King
"Those are my fries" I pout
"I dont see your name on them" He says with his mouth stuffed with fries
"You're evil" He laughs
"I have a question" I look at him putting my half eaten burger down I don't really eat much anymore so that's enough for me
"When you asked me about liking two people at the same time were you talking about me and Ethan"

"Yes" I simply say
"Why didn't you tell him you felt the same way then" He asks, looking down

"Like you said sometimes you only like the idea of them" I lie listening to the voice in my head this time
"So you're over him"

"Yes" I lie I don't want to make this complicated I'll get over Ethan and be with Xander some day
He gives me a kiss and grins brightly
"Does that mean I win" I fake a smile
"Nope but keep playing your cards right you just might" He pouts
"Bummer" I laugh lightly
"I won't give up on you, on us" I smile and he drives me home
"Here we are. I'll see you tomorrow" I smile and look out the window I don't want to leave his car but I have to
"Is something wrong" He asks I look at him and shake off the discomfort from my face
"Yeah. I'm just," I purse and look back at my house "tired" I say more like a whisper
"I'll see you tomorrow" I grab his milkshake and get off the car
"Hey that's mine"
"I don't see your name on it" I wink and walk away
