'Too bland.'

Javier harshly slammed the fork at the table. Ever since Xavian left, he couldn't find food that suited his taste.

Xavian used to cook food for him when they were together, and although Javier didn't want to admit it, he kind of misses his cooking. When he was upset or angry, Xavian would cook his favorite meals to please him, and he felt a lot better.

Although Xavian wasn't that rich, handsome or smart like Damian, he was at least decent at cooking.

This restaurant is famous for their delicious food, but Javier didn't feel satisfied with their cuisine. He habitually checked his phone to see if Xavian had any calls or texts, but Xavian never took the initiative to contact him.

When Javier saw Xavian on campus, he just ignored him like they were just strangers. Xavian acted like he didn't see him.

After the whole incident, Javier couldn't believe that Xavian could just easily brush him off like that.

He knew that Xavian's love for him was genuine, so it was impossible for Xavian to just forget what they had. Javier wasn't used to seeing Xavian act like this, maybe Xavian just needed space. Javier tried to be more tolerant, but he didn't understand why Xavain had to act like this.

Javier hated that Xavian was being too selfish and childish, he didn't have to cut him out like their relationship never existed.

Sure, the way they broke up ended with a nasty fight, but the two of them had been together for almost two years, and Xavian should have acted more maturely about it.

Their two-year relationship cannot be easily erased. Even if they stopped loving each other, at least they could be friends and forget about the bitterness and disputes of the past.

Javier already had a hard time trying to get over Damian's rejection, but Xavian has to add to the pile of his problems.

A sick feeling filled the pit of Javier's stomach, he didn't have an appetite to eat anymore.
_______

It's Monday.

Time flew by so fast that sometimes Xavian just wanted it to stop. Xavian thought he would manage his life better because he had already experienced this in the past.

Even if Xavian is technically an adult, there are times he feels overwhelmed because life loves to test him a bit too much.
It's inevitable that he would meet customers who would make his job more difficult.

Dealing with them felt emotionally and mentally draining. After his shift, he still had to review for an upcoming test. Xavian tried to balance his work load and course load, but there were times he felt overwhelmed.

Xavian felt thankful that Lance brought him to the arcade last Saturday, being with him managed to make Xavian forget about all his stress and just have fun for awhile.

There are a lot of customers in the cafe today, and the orders are piling up. A customer suddenly cut in line, he barged into the counter, complaining about his mango milkshake being too sweet and asking for a refund.

The cup is nearly empty. Xavian tried to patiently explain that he couldn't get a refund, but it only made the customer more angry.

The customer asked for the manager. The customers behind him were also getting agitated because he cut in line.

When the manager came, she looked equally burned out as she dealt with the complaining customer while Xavian was left to deal with the other customers.

Xavian thought the complaining customer was already finished, but he suddenly caused a ruckus and splashed his drink on the floor before storming out of the cafe.
