The sky is dark, the park is empty at this time, the children are already back at home with their families.

Xavian sat on a bench near the park. It was already dark outside, but he didn't want to go back to the dorm.

He didn't want Lance to see him in such a pathetic state. Xavian knew how much Lance would worry if he seemed like this, but Xavian didn't want to bother Lance with his problems.

Lance has been here for him a lot of time. He shouldn't bother him with such trivial matters.

Xavian just needs to sort out all of his thoughts, and he will be fine. He stared at the sky in a daze, hoping to see a star to distract him from his thoughts.

But the moon is alone in the sky, the dark clouds have covered the stars in the sky. Only the artificial lights in the city light up the surroundings.

He didn't know how much time had passed, but there were still people and cars passing by. Xavian's phone is dead, he didn't know if he had received any text from Lance or even Javier.

He just wants to feel better and distract himself from his thoughts and memories.

Suddenly, Xavian hears loud footsteps in the empty park. He feels a force pounce on his body and arms that are wrapped around him.

He almost thought that he was being attacked, but when he saw the familiar messy hair, he lowered his guard and let the warm arms embrace him.

"Where were you?" Lance's voice was slightly muffled as he buried his face on Xavian's shoulders. "I was so worried."

"Sorry, I forgot to tell you I tutored someone today," Xavian said calmly. However, Lance could hear the restrained shaking in his voice.

Lance noticed the way Xavian avoided his eyes. He knew Xavian was lying, but Lance didn't know why he was lying.

Fatigued is heavy in Xavian's voice, his eyes are puffy. He doesn't say anything, but Lance can easily tell that Xavian has been crying.

Lance gently put his hands on Xavian's cheeks and gently rubbed the corners of his eyes with his fingers.

"Rough day?" As much as Lance wanted to ask him who the fuck dares to make him cry but he knows it will only make Xavian uncomfortable.

Xavian is the type of person who tries to hide his sadness and pain. Lance can't be forceful because it will only make Xavian feel worse. If Lance wanted him to open up, he could only patiently wait for Xavian to feel more comfortable around him.

"Yeah..." Xavian didn't know why, but his eyes felt like they were burning. He bit his cheeks and refused to let the tears fall from his eyes. Another sharp breath got stuck in his throat as he tried to fight away the tears that were stubbornly trying to get out of his eyes.

His doing fine these past few months, why should this affect him? Didn't he already move on? Why is he so fucking weak?

Lance's eyes softened, he didn't say anything, but he just continued to hold him. He hoped that even without words, Xavian could feel that he was with him.

He is not alone.

Lance pressed his forehead against Xavian. "It's okay, let it all out. I'm here for you." Lance softly whispered in Xavian's ears. He could only hope that Xavian could feel his sincerity. "So please don't look like you're about to cry all by yourself."
