"Mina, baby? I'm really thirsty." You told your girlfriend as you put your cheek on her shoulder.

You're standing around the girls at a party that one of Mina's idol friends is throwing.

You don't seem to remember exactly who it is, especially since they haven't come to say hi tonight yet since the party is so packed and they have a lot of mingling to do.

You didn't want to come tonight but the girls were all going and they asked Mina to tag along and, of course, Mina asked you to join her.

You agreed, even though cuddling at home with her sounded much better.

"Yeah? Would you like me to get you a drink, sweet girl?" Mina asked as she brushed her fingers across your back.

"If you wouldn't mind."

"Of course not. I'll be right back." She smiled before kissing your lips softly.

She walked away and you began to chat with the girls when, suddenly, you felt a tap on your arm.

You figured it was Mina so you turned around with a big grin on your face.

But it wasn't Mina - it was Jennie.

"Jennie?" You spoke, almost shocked. "What are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same thing." She said before shyly tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. "Can we talk? Privately?"

"Might be hard to do that considering it's pretty crowded here but sure." You said and Jennie chuckled before you walked across the room with her.

The area she led you to was pretty quiet.

There were only one or two other people around and they were minding their own business, allowing for you and Jennie to talk for the first time in so long.

"It's so good to see you again. How have you been?" She asked.

"Fine, I guess. You know, life can be stressful sometimes but it's been good. I'm pretty happy. How about you?"

She stared at you in silence for a moment before she shook her head.

"I'm so sorry, I was just daydreaming there for a minute." She chuckled. "I've missed you."

"Oh..." You said as she brushed her fingers across your arm.

"I know it's been a while but I think about you all the time. I know we ended things because I was so busy but I like to think sometimes that we could always make it work somehow."

"Jennie, listen, I-" You started to speak, wanting to tell her about Mina.

But she interrupted, so caught up in her thoughts and her need to tell you everything on her mind.

"I miss you, Y/N. I miss you a lot. You know, some of my friends are getting serious in their relationships and sometimes I think that could've been us. Had I not messed it up."

"You didn't mess anything up. You're busy. You're an idol and you had so much happening. We agreed to end things. It was for the best at the time."

"Could we... give things another try? I want to be with you again." She said as she tried to take your hand into hers.

But before she could, a familiar voice was heard.

"What's happening here?" Mina asked. "Are you cheating on me, Y/N?"

"What? No, of course not!" You quickly spoke.

"Wait... cheating? Are you together?" Jennie asked as she looked between you and Mina.

"Yeah, we are." You said and watched Jennie's eyes turn sad.

"Were. We were. Until now." Mina said as she prepared to turn around and leave you behind.

"No, wait, baby, please! Nothing was happening." You said as you stood up and grabbed Mina's wrist gently. "Please, believe me!"

"You told me that your relationship with Jennie was over!" Mina spoke.

"It is," Jennie said, making you both look at her. "Y/N is telling you the truth. I'm the one who suggested we get back together. I'm pretty sure she tried telling me about you but I stopped her."

She stood up and looked at you and Mina, a sad sigh leaving her lips.

"She's a great girl. We had something special together but I realize that it's over. I should've realized that she could be with someone else. I just missed her."

She looked devastated as it sank in that you're with someone else.

And by the looks of it, you seem to care a lot about each other.

"How long have you two been together?" Jennie asked Mina.

"A few months," Mina answered.

"She's incredible and you're the luckiest girl in the world to have her," Jennie said as she looked at you. "Don't let her go. Treat her like a queen; she deserves it."

"She does," Mina replied with a smile as she reached for your hand.

"Maybe we can be friends?" Jennie asked you before looking at Mina. "If it's okay with you, of course."

Mina nodded and Jennie sent you a small smile before walking away.

"Bye, Y/N. Maybe we'll see each other around someday soon. As friends, I promise."

"Okay. Bye, Jennie."

She walked away, giving Mina a squeeze on her shoulder, wordlessly telling her that everything was alright between them.

"I'm sorry I accused you of cheating." Mina sighed. "I just got so worried seeing you and Jennie together like that after you told me that you were together."

"I know. I completely understand." You said. "But I promise, what we had is over. Jennie knows that now too. You're the only one I love and want to be with."

She put her forehead against yours with a bright smile.

"You have to trust on me that. I'm yours, Mina. All yours."

"I know, baby. I do trust you, I promise. And I'm all yours too; forever and always."

You put your lips on hers to give her a sweet kiss.

"Let's go home." She suggested. "We'll go and cuddle. Let's leave this party and spend some time together, just us."

"Okay. I'd like that." You smiled before kissing her again.

She rubbed your back comfortingly and held you close, knowing that Jennie was right when she told her that she was the luckiest girl in the world.

Because she gets to love you and be loved by you in return.
