You couldn't hold back the bright smile pulling at your lips as you watched your girlfriend shine on stage.
It's been so long since you've been able to see her in person rather than through the screen of your phone or your laptop.
She and the girls have been on tour for a couple of long and busy months but until now, you haven't been able to come and see them perform because work and other things with life have been keeping you very busy.
But today, that all changed.
You've been missing Mina so much lately and you've been needing to feel her arms around you and her lips on yours so you can forget all about your worries and your stresses.
Life is always so much harder to deal with when she's not there by your side, though you know you're very lucky because, despite the time differences and how exhausted she gets, she always makes time for you.
You're ready to break the distance between you though and be back in her warm embrace.
And to make it all even better, you've kept it a surprise.
With Sana and Jihyo's help, you managed to get a plan together on when and how you could surprise Mina and you pulled it all off successfully thanks to them.
Now, all there's left to do is tell Mina that you're here, and that's where Sana and Jihyo come in.
Caught up in your thoughts and your excitement, you began to daydream a little as you watched Mina and only when the fans cheered did you realize that the girls had finished baby blue love.
You cheered just as loudly, knowing that you most likely wouldn't be noticed by anyone since you were disguising yourself as a fan with your TWICE shirt on, your lightstick in your hand, and your mask on so no one would recognize you.
"Chicago, you're all so loud and so excited!" Jihyo said before laughing as the fans cheered. "We're having so much fun performing for you all tonight. Are you having fun?"
The fans screamed in response, making the girls light up.
"Amazing." Dahyun grinned.
"We still have a good amount of songs to sing and dance to together but before we go on to the next one, we're going to take a short little break because there's someone very special here tonight and we want to see them," Jihyo said.
"Mina," Sana smiled as she hugged Mina tightly. "How are you feeling tonight?"
"Great." Mina smiled as she wiped the beads of sweat from her forehead with a towel.
"How long has it been since we started touring?" Sana wondered.
"Two months, almost three," Nayeon spoke.
"That's a long time to be touring. I know we're all having so much fun, we always do. There's nothing like being on stage, getting to live out our dreams with each other. It's incredible. But surely, you must miss home."
"We all get homesick from time to time. I think we'd be lying if we said we didn't miss home and our loved ones sometimes." Mina said as Sana held her mic up to her lips. "But it's worth it. Because, as you said, there's nothing else like this."
"True," Jihyo said. "You've been missing home lately. Or, more specifically, you've been missing someone that's at home back In Seoul."
Mina nodded.
"Y/N," Sana smiled.
"We all adore her," Jihyo said. "But we know how much she means to you and how much you love her and being away from her isn't easy. Especially when she feels the same way."
"Yeah," Mina replied, biting her lip as she thought about you.
"Where is that special someone that's here tonight?" Sana pretended to wonder. "Oh, right over there!"
Pointing over to the front row, the spotlight hit you.
You had pulled your mask off at this point so the girls, more specifically Mina, could see your face.
Mina gasped before her eyes filled with tears of joy upon seeing you.
"She missed you a lot. So we helped her get here to you." Jihyo proudly said.
Mina couldn't say much of anything since she was too surprised.
Getting up, you watched her run to the edge of the stage and reach out for you just as one of the guards helped you up the steps and up to her.
"I can't believe you're here!" She said as she threw her arms around you.
"I can't believe it either." You spoke as you felt tears sting your eyes.
It felt too good to be true.
You've been missing her like crazy, longing to hold and be held by her and to feel her lips on yours for so long now; practically since the day she first left.
Being here now was almost too much for your heart to handle as she squeezed you tightly and let a couple of tears fall from her eyes and onto your shoulder, as she buried her face there, in your shirt.
"I've missed you so much, baby." You whispered. "I'm just going to assume you missed me too."
Mina lifted her head with a tearful chuckle over your playful teasing.
"So much." She smiled before cupping your cheeks and pulling you in for a kiss. "I love you so much."
"I love you too." You spoke against her lips, ignoring all of the cheers from the fans and the girls.
Wrapping your arms around her neck, you pulled her closer and kept kissing her, feeling the sparks fly all around you as your chest filled with butterflies.
Even after all this time, those beautiful feelings she brings with every kiss and every touch still feel just as intense as ever.
"Surprise." You smiled against her lips, making her giggle.
"Best surprise ever." She said, pulling away from the kiss. "Seeing you in person is so much better than seeing you through my phone screen."
"I agree." You giggled. "And I know it's not very long but I'll be with you for five days."
"That's perfect." She replied happily. "I'm just happy you're here. I love you."
"I love you too." You smiled.
She leaned in to kiss you again, only for Momo to tap her shoulder.
"Hey, cuties. I know you two missed each other and want to make out and all but we have to finish the show soon." She teased.
"Okay." Mina pouted.
"Don't worry, I'll be right over there watching." You said as you pointed to your seat. "And when the show is over, I'll be back in your arms and we can go backstage and continue where we left off." You whispered in her ear, making her smile brightly.
"I like the sound of that." She whispered back to you. "You're all mine after the show."
"I'm all yours, always." You spoke before kissing her cheek.
She didn't let your hand go until she had no other choice as you reached the edge of the stage and had to get back to your seat.
She blew you a kiss and you pretended to catch it, causing her lips to tug into the biggest and brightest smile that the girls had seen in so long.
Everything was perfect now that you were back by her side and you both planned to cherish every second together.
