"Mina?" You spoke as you knocked on the bathroom door.

"Yes, my love?"

You bit your lip nervously as you watched her put her mascara on.

"Can you help me?"

"With what?" She asked as she set her mascara down and turned to look at you.

"Well, I see how much you enjoy doing your makeup and you know I've never worn it much before so I don't know how to do it. Could you help me put some makeup on?" You asked.

She chuckled as she walked over to you.

"Someone doesn't know how to do their makeup? That's something everyone our age knows how to do, baby."

"Well, a lot of people enjoy doing makeup and I don't. But I thought it might be fun to do every once in a while. I thought you might help me." You explained.

"You know, there are makeup tutorials on YouTube. They have stuff for beginners as well." She teased.

"Mina," You whined.

"I have never met anyone that doesn't have an interest in makeup. At least, anyone that's not in their eighties." She joked. "You are very behind on the times, my love. It's going to take you a while to learn. If you do this every date, I'll have to set two hours aside just for you to get ready."

You were unamused by her teasing and her jokes and you made sure she saw it on your face.

"Maybe we can find some makeup to turn that frown upside down." She joked. "I can't believe you have never worn makeup before. I mean, I know you told me that before we started going out but I still can't get used to it. You're very unique."

"Just forget it." You mumbled before leaving the bathroom.

"Baby?" She frowned, only to hear you walk into the spare room and close the door loudly.

A few minutes passed by and Mina looked at the clock from her spot on the bed.

"Where is she?" She mumbled to herself before she got up.

She thought, by now, you'd be ready to go.

But you haven't even opened the door since you first closed it and she couldn't help but wonder what was taking you so long.

Walking across the hall, she knocked on the door and waited for your response, only to get silence in return.

"Babe? Are you in there?"

"Go away!"

"Y/N, what's going on?" She asked before sighing upon hearing nothing but silence again. "I'm coming in."

She turned the knob and opened the door to find you sitting on the bed in sadness.

"You're still in your pajamas? I thought you were getting dressed in here." She said.

"Why would I get dressed in here? All my clothes are in the bedroom. The problem with our bedroom is that it connects to our bathroom and you were in there. I was upset and didn't want to see or talk to you so I came in here." You spoke harshly.

"Ouch. Okay." She sighed. "Well, do you want to tell me what made you so upset, baby?"

"What do you think?" You asked as you blinked away the tears that appeared in your eyes. "I asked you for help with something and all you did was tease me for it."

"I was only messing with you. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, baby." She whispered. "I was only joking."

"Well, your jokes and your teasing hurt a little, Mina. I've never done makeup before. I don't know how to do it and I asked you for help because you're so good at it and you never judge or tease me like that so I didn't think anything of asking you."

Her heart broke to hear that her teasing had gotten under your skin and that she'd hurt your feelings.

"I'm so sorry." She said as she brushed her fingers along your thigh. "I didn't mean it that way. I wasn't making fun of you and if it came off that way, I apologize. Because I would never do that to you. I love you."

"I love you too."

She smiled as she brushed her fingers across your cheeks.

"I just want to try. I don't know if I'll like it or if I'll do it every day but I figured it would be fun to try."

"That's fine." She smiled. "If you still want me to help you, I would love to."

Your eyes sparkled and it made her heart melt.

"I think I know some great colors that would bring out your eyes, though they're already so pretty." She complimented before kissing your cheek. "We could put some lip gloss on to start with instead of lipstick if you'd like."

"Okay." You agreed with a smile.

"I'm forgiven, right?" She asked. "You know I love you and think you're the most beautiful girl in the world, hm? You know that you don't need makeup to be pretty because you already are."

"Thank you, baby." You said before kissing her cheek. "You're gorgeous and you don't need it either."

"Yeah, but I wear it because it's part of my job." She replied. "I just don't want you to feel like you have to wear it. I don't want it to be because you saw some comments that got under your skin or something."

"It isn't, my love. Don't worry. I just want to try."

"Okay." She said, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. "Good to hear because I was so going to find out who said whatever was getting to you and I was going to kick their asses."

You laughed and she couldn't help but do the same.

"I love you."

"I love you too, pretty girl." She said before kissing you. "Now, come on. I'll help you with your makeup. We'll start easy and next time you choose to wear it, we'll do different things with it. For now, let's do some pretty eyeshadow and some lipgloss."

"Okay." You happily agreed before standing up as she took your hand and led you back to the bathroom with her so she could help you.
