"That's my girl. I'm so proud of you." Mina whispered in your ear before kissing your forehead.
Her heart was swelling with love as she watched you continue to bring your baby into the world.
She can tell that you're exhausted and she can't blame you at all since it's been eighteen hours since you arrived at the hospital, when things first began.
The exhaustion of everything is catching up to her too.
She's been by your side every second of the way, barely even leaving your side to get some water or rest through these last eighteen hours and counting.
She can't bring herself to do so when you need her now more than ever.
"Mina?" You groaned, causing her to snap out of her thoughts.
"Yes, baby?"
"Are you okay?" You asked. "You zoned out. I need you here with me."
"I'm here, baby. I'm right here." She assured as she squeezed your hand. "I'm sorry I was just caught up in my thoughts but don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. Keep going, I'm right here with you."
For a few more minutes, everything was fine.
She kept her eyes on you and watched you in amazement as you put all of your strength and energy into bringing the baby you two have been waiting so long to meet into the world.
But her exhaustion was getting worse and her lack of food and water was also catching up to her, making her feel a little lightheaded.
She tried so hard to fight it and tried to focus on you.
She didn't want to miss a single second of this.
She's been counting down the months and days until your baby was expected to arrive.
The thought of missing her coming into the world was something Mina didn't even want to think about.
You need her and she wanted to be focused so she could hear their first breath and their first cry.
But her dizziness was getting intense.
Her knees were starting to buckle, her eyes were so heavy, and she just felt so faint.
She only lasted another minute before passing out and falling onto the floor.
"Mina!" You shouted in annoyance and rolled your eyes, watching as a nurse came to her side. "You're joking! I'm the one that's literally bringing our baby into the world and you pass out? Seriously? Wimp! Just get up!"
Mina's eyes opened a few seconds later.
"Are you okay?" The nurse asked.
"I'm okay," Mina said as she stood up and cleared her throat.
She squeezed her eyes shut as the room continued to spin for a second.
"I'm okay."
But just as she opened her eyes, there was a tiny cry that filled the air as your baby finally arrived.
"Finally," You groaned in exhaustion and threw your head back against the pillow.
"I missed it?" She asked as she watched the baby be placed on your chest. "I can't believe I missed the rest of it! I'm so sorry, my love,"
You looked at her with soft eyes.
The annoyance you felt when she passed out was all caused by your pain and exhaustion.
Now that your baby was here, all you felt was happiness and you just grinned at Mina.
"It's okay." You assured her, squeezing her hand a couple of times.
Mina sniffled as she looked at the baby on your chest - the little girl you'd both been waiting so long to meet.
She was here at last and even more perfect than Mina imagined.
"Hello, angel," She smiled. "We're your moms."
You smiled through the tears in your eyes, feeling a rush of many feelings, but joy and love being the strongest of all.
"I love you so much and I've been waiting so long to meet you."
"You're beautiful." You whispered to your daughter.
"You are the most beautiful baby ever. I'm sorry I missed watching you come into the world. I'd been waiting so long but I guess the exhaustion of it all just caught up to me."
"That's okay. It'll make for a good story for your aunts. And one day, you and I will laugh about it together too." You promised your daughter.
Mina laughed before kissing your cheek softly.
"I love you and I'm so proud of you, Y/N,"
"Thank you. I love you too."
She smiled as she stared at your little girl once more, her eyes meeting the baby's soft ones as she took in everything around her in this new big world.
"Welcome to the world, baby. We're going to be the happiest family ever and you're going to be so loved."
