"I'm so proud of you," Mina whispered as she kissed your head softly.
You were wrapped in her arms as you cuddled on the sofa together.
A bright smile pulled at your lips as Mina's brushed against your forehead lovingly and though you've been hearing so many people tell you that they're proud of you lately, it always means the most when it comes from her.
Your newest movie just released and, of course, Mina wanted to watch it right away and ever since you pressed play about fifteen minutes ago, she's been telling you nonstop about how proud of you she is.
"Your acting is just phenomenal, my love. You're so good." She complimented.
"Thanks, baby." You happily replied as you put your head on her shoulder.
This movie is very different from the others that you've done before.
Your character is the most important one in the film, which centers around you starting a new job, which just so happens to be the one of her dreams.
Your character moves to a new city with her partner and just when everything seems to be going well, your character's dreams are shattered by a serious but rare illness.
Sure, the idea has been done a thousand times before, but there's just something different about this one and everyone has fallen in love with it.
"This is one of my favorite scenes we filmed." You said as you watched your character.
In this particular scene, you end up passing out as the sickness begins to take over your entire body, sending everyone around you into a panic.
But there was something about this scene that you haven't told anyone about yet and you figure that Mina should be the first to know.
"That looked so real!" She gasped as she watched your character faint on TV.
"That's because it was." You confessed. "I wasn't acting for that scene."
She turned to look at you in shock and confusion before reaching for the remote to pause the movie.
"What do you mean you weren't acting?"
"I mean that I actually fainted."
"What!? Why did you never tell me about that?"
"It happened around the time you and the girls were in the middle of a comeback. It wasn't anything serious so I wasn't concerned about it. I was just overworked. I hadn't slept in two days, I was dehydrated, and I was pushing myself very hard. It was a combination of a few things health-wise but nothing serious. It was a one-time thing."
"That's why you had to take a couple of days off from filming." She said as she remembered that. "You said it was because everyone just needed some time to rest and the director had a few things to work on before you could return."
"Well, I was somewhat correct about that. Everyone had been working hard, not just me. We all needed a couple of days off to rest, me especially since I'm the one that fainted."
"But you didn't tell me that you passed out! You lied to me." She pouted.
"Mina, baby, I just didn't want to worry you. If I had told you, you would've called off from everything so you could take a few days away and take care of me."
"But you're my girlfriend, I'm supposed to do that!" She sighed.
"Not when you had a comeback in three days. On top of that, you had a tour to prepare for, you had things to film with the girls, you had things to work on with the brands you're partnered with, you had photoshoots, interviews, practice, final touches for different things - it was a lot and you couldn't miss any of it."
You took her hands into yours and gazed into her eyes.
"Mina, I know you worry about me and I love that you care about me so much. You're the best girlfriend anyone could ever hope for and I'm so lucky to have you. But I can also take care of myself. If it had been very serious, I promise I would've told you. But this was something I was capable of handling on my own. You have a very busy job. You can't drop everything all the time just to care for me."
"I know." She said. "I know you can take care of yourself and I know you don't need me fussing over you all the time. I just love you. I just want to know when things like that happen."
"I promise, from now on, I won't ever hide that from you. I love you too and I'm sorry for worrying you."
"It's okay." She said before kissing you softly. "But please don't spring that on me so suddenly. You scare me and if you keep scaring me like that, my hair is going to be gray before I hit thirty."
You laughed and hugged her tightly.
"I promise, I won't ever scare you and I will always be honest with you."
"Thank you." She said before pecking your lips a few more times. "You're okay now though, right?"
"Perfectly healthy. You won't be getting rid of me anytime soon."
"Good." She grinned before pulling you back into her arms. "I need you around until we're a hundred. I want to grow old with you."
"Me too." You whispered happily before she pressed play and the movie continued.
"I truly am so proud of you though, baby girl. I hope you know that."
"I do." You grinned. "I'm so lucky."
