"Moonlight shines in the dark of night, watching the mistwolves come and take flight, mistwolves, mistwolves, mistwolves at play hide and seek all through the night. Sunlight shines in the light of day, looking down on the creatures that play"

Adriane Charday knew that poem all her life so far,she is a 14 year old girl who has a lot on her mind. (But,somehow memories, these memories they won't go away!) thought
Adriane as she bolted across the grassy plains of Wolf Run Pass. Suddenly,
Flash! She was somewhere else now. She couldn't bear even being here...Hawooooooo! What's happening?! Adriane gasped in shock as the once majestic trees around her are turning into long, thin vines, grabbing at her feet like hands! Flash! Adriane's wolf stone flared in a burst of golden fire, aiding her escape in getting away from the vines! She knew she had to keep going, keep running at any cost...when she heard mysterious voice in the heart of Wolf Run Pass. She turned, desperately whirling around to find the intruder! "You don't belong with the mistwolves. Your life has been overwhelmed with grief and death. Why do you fight this hopeless battle? You know you cannot win. It's hopeless for you, humans always betray their packmates" Adriane slowly turned to see two eyes looking at her,one blue and the other green. (Wait a minute,is that really him? It is him! It's Chain!) Adriane thought. But the truth hurt just as much as before, because her life was truly filled with death. Why me?! She asked herself in confusion, as the blue and green eyed wolf circled around her. Suddenly the mysterious wolf stopped moving, for a moment it seems as if all time stopped. But then it started moving again, the wolf lunges at Adriane, teeth bared claws extended and ready to attack! Adriane howls in pain as the wolf bit her neck and slashed at her arms with his claws,(hard enough to make her scream, but not hard enough to make her bleed...) "No! Stop it, stop it ,stop it!" Adriane cried out as she is being pinned down to the ground desperately thrusting out her Wolf Stone to defend herself... Adriane's eyes opened immediately, (it was all a nightmare, right? That wolf I saw wasn't real...) Adriane thought to herself as she sat in her bed,in her room, but somehow she had a feeling that something was very wrong, she already lost so much, but she had to stay strong because Adriane was a warrior, and warriors always stand strong no matter what!
