Chapter 19: Trapped

The shadow creatures slowly started closing in. The sheer number of them was too much to count, it's as if there was no end! Shiny and Adriane stood back to back, not sure what to do. They were getting closer....and closer..."What do we do now?" Shiny tried to fly out of the way but to no avail, for the monsters were in the air as well! Shiny got knocked down to the ground but for some reason, the impact didn't hurt her! "Shiny! Are you alright?!" Adriane crouched near her close friend in concern. Shiny nodded and got to her feet immediately (since she's still an Umbreon) not saying a word, for fear the monsters would locate their position. But their enemies had excellent hearing, they were headed towards them, fast! "That's it! They're going down!" Adriane's wolf stone flared to life, blazing with energy! Shiny got in a fighting stance, prepared and ready to attack! Their chances of victory were slim against this number of opponents! But they had to try! Shiny rushed at them with Foul Play, KOing many in an instant! Adriane whipped her wolf fire around, the golden attack cut through their shadowy makeup. Soon all were demolished, but Shiny and Adriane were exhausted as a result. Luckily for them there was a lake nearby where they could rest. As soon as they arrived however, Shiny noticed something odd about her friend....
