Chapter 14: Sudden Discovery

Meanwhile back in the field of flowers (It's midnight), Adriane Dreamer and Shiny were about to leave when Shiny stopped in her tracks and noticed something strange. Far away, in the distance there was this..star-shaped piece of light was shining briefly, then fading. "Hey Shiny, did you see that?" Adriane asked curiously, "Well, kind of. It was only there for like, 2 seconds." Shiny replied. "There it is again!" Dreamer exclaimed! Dreamer was right, the piece of light was indeed flashing, but this time it stayed like that for 9 seconds, then it disappeared again! "Maybe it'll stop flashing if we get closer to it." Shiny suggested, "Let's try it!" Adriane responded, excited and eager. The trio ran (and flew, in Shiny's case) towards the mysterious light as fast as their legs could take them! All of a sudden the blinking light rose into the air and right above their heads! Flash! It grew brighter and brighter! Adriane, Dreamer and Shiny turned their heads away, in order to protect their eyes. After a second, it was over. "Hey look! It's gone!" Shiny exclaimed, it was true! The light was nowhere to be found! Instead, what remained was this large, circular, swirling object. "What...what is that?" Dreamer asked, "I'm not sure." Adriane replied. Cautiously, Dreamer slowly stepped forward when he realized that this was no ordinary circle, it was a portal to another world! Adriane also stepped forward and stuck her hand in just to make sure the portal was real, almost immediately after she did that she felt something pulling her! She couldn't get her hand loose! "Adriane what's wrong!?" Dreamer and Shiny both cried in unison, filled with concern and fear, "I-I can't get loose! I'm being pulled through!" Adriane shouted, her feet were dragging in front of her, she was almost through! Dreamer, sensing his bonded's fear, rushed forward and bit the back of her neck, trying to drag her backwards. Shiny (who transformed into an Umbreon) used Psychic to also try and help, but failed. Adriane and Dreamer already disappeared into the portal. Shiny, feeling brave, also went through the portal, hoping to at least see if they were alright.
