Chapter 39: The Final Battle! Pt. 2

An eerie silence filtered throughout the area for what seemed like eternity. Out of nowhere, two feral eyes took shape, concealed in the darkness of the eclipse. Her strength renewed, the dark mage threw herself at her former allies in a storm of teeth and claws. Aura Spheres rained down from above, as she dodged each hit with unimaginable speed. They crashed into each other full-force, a mad attempt to overpower one another. It was a deadly affair, fraught with fearsome displays of strength, the distant sounds of thunder surrounding them as shadows themselves fanned out....flooding the entire forest. The fight continued nonetheless but it had been drawn out for too long, as the combatants were quickly losing steam. The unrelenting strikes simply caught the next, blow per blow. However, just as they were was about to finish each other off, a brilliant beam of light froze them in their tracks—and were it not for the shade of a nearby tree—almost blinded all who were involved. That's when the dark mage felt a deep rumbling underneath her paws, and just like that—she was swallowed whole by the very earth she sought to destroy. The last thing caught in her sights....was a shocked, majestic Shiny trying to save her. Unbeknownst to them, however, explosions of dynamite were triggered mere minutes before they hit the ground......
