"Tell me about your day." sure, my nephew has to build something for a school project and asked for my help. so we are going to build my mom a slow sweeping staircase out to a lower garden in her yard. you might remember that she fell and lost her eye a year or two ago and just isnt quite as confident as she used to be getting around... so this will be beautiful and help with that. so we spent some time designing it, i think we might even add nice led lighting and try to wire it into a switch in the house... might be a bit ambitious for his project so we will see.
we spent a few hours planning it out and securing the boards and area for the bigger project. ugh getting down on the floor the whole time makes me feel so out of shape and fat, even the treadmill isnt helping enough for that... gunna try and make a good push before i go into drastic fasting mode again. didnt help that mom bought donuts to motivate the work
Nephew was also telling my about another school project he wants to do where he paints a bunch of minis that i 3d printed for him. hes turning out to be quite the nerd. and for whatever reason likes to do all the things i do.
I saw a monarch butterfly out there and had to wonder how you traveled so far from your home but then a guess thats what monarchs are known for... there were other butterflies out too, but somehow i know you were the pretty monarch batting her wings at me as she sat on the lilac bush
sooo also funny theres a post out there that i saw some wasps climbing into a few weeks ago... so i told my nephew and he was like. "I haaaate wasps, do you think that theres money in the budget to have someone check and see if there really are wasps living there." and I said, "yeah of course theres money in he budget for that... here take this hammer and go bang on the post a few times." so he made this whole plan, prepped his escape route, i told him that they remember faces so he pulled his hoodie tight around his face even though it was hot out. banged it and then ran for his life... all the way around and inside like the devil himself was chasing him... turns out, no wasps.
let see another random story is we finally got the clubs to meet on friday for yet another completely separate campaign run by another student, who has planning this out all last year. its cute to see him get so excited to finally do it. so the premise is that roughly modern day earth collides with some other dimension and all hell breaks lose. so our job was to make a character to play, but also they had to have a normal everyday version of themselves that might exist on earth.
so the characters people came up with are wild... someone is literally playing Schrödinger's cat who got left in the box when the dimensions collided and is now a talking scientist cat that is by far the smarts one in the group. some one is playing ryan gosling who is still just ryan gosling after the transformation, but hes like a really entitled call me MR Gosling version. someone was a pile of rocks who gained sentience and now wants to be a therapist. my character was a g year old girl having a princess party and as spoiled as you can be... she had this havy listp and then when she transformed she basically became tinkerbell... and since it was her birthday the rest of the part convinced her that the mission that they were on was just to to go find her birthday cake. and anytime someone suggest something like fighting (which is like half of DnD... she gets really angry and tells the rest of the group to stop being mean... or they wont even get a tiara when we play dressup after the cake
