A/n Hey!!! This is kind of a shorter one (almost 3k words), but I really want to build the tension for the next part; I hope this one gets you really excited for the next one! Enjoy xx

Thankfully, you had your sleep schedule set on your phone so your alarm woke you up at a decent time. Imagine if I didn't have it set up, I would've probably woken up at 12 pm... You pushed the covers off and remembered everything that happened last night. You didn't want to get out of bed, you couldn't, you couldn't even make yourself leave your room out of embarrassment and fear of confrontation. Anytime you went to bed upset, you always woke up with your energy being super off, and yourself really closed off. What happened yesterday, was certainly going to put a wall between you trying to interact with Dash's mom. Even though in the back of your mind you knew she wouldn't necessarily confront you– she probably only wanted to talk woman to woman– the thought made you uncomfortable. Let's just say you're not great at talking to older women alone, especially about things like sex or whatever it was that needed to be discussed about last night. It's your mommy issues that tend to make you act weird around women resembling your mom's age, aside from the fact that you find yourself crushing on most of them.

After what seemed like an eternity you finally decided to get out of bed and right when you were heading to the bathroom you saw what appeared to be a piece of paper on the floor close to the door. You walked towards it and saw a tiny card with your name written on it. Curiously you picked it up and opened it, unsure as to what it may contain inside. You opened it and were met with beautiful cursive handwriting:

Sweetheart, I hope you've rested well after yesterday and are feeling up to doing something with me today. I wanted to invite you to brunch at 12 pm! and I'm not taking no for an answer. I simply want to get to know you better and talk. I'll see you around the house. We'll probably leave at 20 to 12.

Instead of feeling happy and excited, the card made you more anxious and scared to come out of your room; you really needed to talk to Dash. You quickly went into the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for the day. You put on a beautiful long sleeve black long dress and paired it with some gold jewelry, your rings and watch, and some black loafers. You put some natural makeup on like you always did and sprayed on your favorite perfume. Lastly, you made your bed and made sure everything looked tidy and all your personal items were put away. You took one last hit of your vape before putting it in your tiny Marc Jacobs bag, I should really quit vaping, making sure your wallet, phone, lipstick, charger and cigs were already in it. You closed the door and took a deep breath. By now it was already 11.

As soon as you stepped out, you texted Dash good morning and made your way towards the kitchen, assuming everyone was hanging there or around there at least. You kind of got lost twice on your way, stumbling into a games room and a type of small library, my dream room, you thought. You finally made it and saw Edith watching tv in the living room. "Hey y/n, good morning!". "Hey Edi, what's up princess?!". "I'm just watching some cartoons". Since it's an easter holiday, all Edi does is play around the house and watch TV, when she's not with Dash's mom. In your family, you have three siblings, like Dash, but there's your older brother, and then both of your sisters; you are the youngest one, like Edi.

You saw Dash sitting close to the kitchen island and you hugged him from behind, putting your wands around his waist and kissing him on the side of his head. "Hey..." you barely whispered. "Hey", he sweetly said. He smiled and turned to face you. He opened his legs to get you closer to him as he grabbed you by the waist, and you put your arms around his neck smiling at him. "Kiss me" you simply said. He wasted no time in pulling you close and closing the gap between your lips as you put your hand on the back of his neck and played with his hair. When you both pulled away your foreheads stayed touching as you gazed into each other's eyes, until you both heard someone clear their throat. You both looked in the same direction and the voice spoke. "Morning, sweethearts. Didn't mean to interrupt you, I just wanted to get some coffee". "Morning...", you barely said out loud and looked at the ground briefly. "Ugh, you weren't interrupting anything mom", Dash said. "Well, it just looked like you and y/n were-". "Aaand, we're leaving", Dash interrupted. "Don't be bitter", Cate said. "Oh no, it's nothing like that, we just wanted to talk... by ourselves, right y/n?", he asked. "Yup", you whispered and looked at the floor. Dash stood up from his chair and took your hand to follow him out into a small dining room. Right when you were about to be out of sight Cate called your name. "Hey y/n!". "Yeah", you answered. "Did you get my note?!". "Yes I did". "Sooo, I'll meet you here in the kitchen at 20 to 12?!". "Yes, perfect! Can't wait!" You tried to make your tone sound exciting but it low key came out as someone who is unsure of themselves. You kept walking and Dash closed the sliding door to the dining room leaving just about 10 inches open. "What was that?", he asked. "What was what?" you replied and looked at your hands. "Y/n", he grabbed you by the chin. "Are you still upset about yesterday?". "A little... I mean, I'm nervous, no, I'm more than nervous, I'M FREAKING OUT OVER HERE". "Calm down baby". "NO, I CAN'T", you whisper-shouted. "Your mom invited me to brunch and she left a note saying that she wants to get to know me better or something", you covered your face as your heart rate accelerated. Dash hugged you and rubbed your back. "You'll be okay baby". But you knew you weren't. Not only were you still freaking out about everything that happened yesterday, but in the back of your mind the thought of the book you were reading last night being noticed by Cate wouldn't leave you alone, and the fact that Dash slipped up when he asked about your crush on your teacher. Your mind wouldn't stop overthinking.
