"This will be the greatest story ever told~" Koseki Bijou declared happily. If I recall correctly, she was the embodiment of various human emotions. In turn, if people like me were exposed to her for a long period of time, there would be consequences.
I just don't know how to assign someone a position in the resort with that kind of baggage...
As I sat at the table in the living room, I couldn't help but feel a mix of awe at the thought of these things being real and apprehension. Building a resort required proper location, land and zoning permissions, design, and financing.
Women with superpowers were not on the list!
My world had been turned into a spiral when I saw Mori Calliope's face melt and the cranium of a skeleton protruded out of it. This was out of my will. A concept far beyond my wildest imagination. I fear I signed a deal with the devil but the contract was legitimate. Too good to be true but it was something feasible in their own bounds, and it applied to me. How something so intricately convenient could unfold right before my door. I did not anticipate it at all but I wasn't the type of person to complain about the finer things in life.
They were all looking at me... All five of them as they held their position gracefully around the table like royals spectating their prey (me), as if the modern world hadn't caught up to them and infected them of its Gen-Z energy. They lived in different times. Mori had told me that much, along with their abilities. She figured I could find a way to assign them the appropriate list of things they need to do to fulfill their job here at the resort. But what could I give them?
They weren't humans. Not a single one. They really exist. Powerful beings out there existed like pools of endless wisdom and I couldn't help but feel pierced at the thought of it. The contract said there should be mutual cooperation between us when work was involved. That meant arguments and various sorts of opposition were supposed to be remedied right away. Any form of disobedience would terminate the contract if not treated immediately. That meant I'd also been assigned the role of being their caretaker.
It was time to man up. Time to uphold my end of the contract. I agreed to its conditions and it didn't feel difficult at all if the girls agreed to it too. I just didn't know them personally yet so I couldn't put a finger on how to gauge their behavior for now. I mean, I don't know much about Sarah yet we worked well enough even without the closeness. Still, she was human.
I just wonder what the result would be if I was dealing with helldogs and demons.
"Our first meeting was a little rough around the edges so I suppose we should properly introduce ourselves first before we get into the specifics." I put on a real-estate agent smile, the ever-so reliable beacon of compassion and serenity placed on my face. It held the power to mend any wounds between me and the client, possibly restoring life between us in our current and next engagement. "During your stay here as per the contract, I will be your guardian. I am Crill Calypso. I hope we'll get along during the remainder of our time here together building the resort. I'm a real-estate agent and I have side businesses here and there but the resort is my main focus right now."
Shiori raised her hand up.
"Yes?"
"Resorts are typically designed to provide guests with a comprehensive and immersive experience, including accommodations, dining, entertainment, and various activities such as swimming, sports, spa treatments, and relaxation, all within the confines of the resort property, yes?"
"You would be correct."
"And you have the means to build something with all those included?"
"Yes."
