The sight before me was phantasmagoric. Shiori was floating on a golden ball above the clouds spectating the person before her like prey alongside Bijou. Nerissa had the the very edges of her staff close to the individual's throat with Fuwawa and Mococo threatening to tear apart with killing intent on both sides, their claws pricking out near the person's flesh. Both were parried by the strange woman's katanas, manifestations of ghosts appeared on both sides of her shoulders as they emitted low growls.
"Hm..." Shiori placed her index and middle finger close to her left cheek, one leg swung over the other as the hues of her body began to darken like the clouds. "Girls, that's Nakiri Ayame, not some random demon spouting curses and incantations across the street. Get back over here."
This further solidified my stance that they were of another level. No matter how many times that was repeated in my head. Maybe they didn't really need me in anything. They would be able to beat this prophecy on their own. To live or to die, that was left up to fate and it irked me to no end. To see these girls succumb and let their lives be decided through something that was fixed. I was just one of those ledges, a single component in a staircase to boost themselves up. Unfortunately, I was really just that. I could help lift them up but to actually go would be impossible. I'd just be in the way. There's a reason why I'm part of the lower steps. I was merely a stepping stone.
"Is this how you treat your seniors? Calli's reception was fairer than this." The woman named Ayame twirled her katanas like the rotor system of a helicopter, placing them back into nothingness, tossing her hair back. "Then again, you're not working for us yet so it'd make sense you were wary someone like me was in the area."
Nerissa did the same with her weapon, Crow perched on her shoulder. "Do you know this person, Shiori?"
"How could I not? Now that I look at her, she's one of Hololive's idols. Female. 152cm. 68kg. Body Measurements-"
"Ah-ah-AHH! We don't need that!" Ayame bellowed out. "I came here specifically to teach that man over there how to master his inner oni."
She pointed at me.
"Me?"
"It's your father's wish."
"Hey guys, what kind of food do you want me to buy for lat..." Sarah stepped outside, pausing as soon as she saw the girls surrounding Ayame. "-er... It's just one after the other..."
"Tell me about it..."

Today was a day-off from the resort's activities so, with a plan in mind, I made Nakiri Ayame go with me to the mall today for groceries.
"Once again, I'm Nakiri Ayame. I've been sent here to teach you how to use your inner oni. Your father was the one who had called me about it."
"Crill Calypso... Nice to meet you..."
"It's your father's wish."
"You wished to talk to me while you do your shopping?"
"I figure I might as well hit two birds with one stone for today."
"Hm. Quite productive."
That man ghosted me for weeks when I was asking him hundreds of questions through text messages. Now I'm told by Ayame that man can't even speak to me again because he got all butterfingered?
"I came across a monster today." Ayame said, popping the gum in her mouth as I was looking through the aisle for toiletries. "Naturally, I stopped it with my powers. And more naturally, you should've also sensed something like that since it was a little close to your place."
