Crill Calypso plans on finishing his dream resort despite the persistent discouragement he's faced over the years, both directly and indirectly from peers and others. What he didn't anticipate was the unexpected aid from five girls wielding extraord...
Glancing around the car, I find myself amidst company on one supposedly fine morning (it wasn't anymore), specifically in Sarah's car. Despite passing driving school for a non-professional license, within a mere three months, she handled the clutch and accelerator with the finesse of a seasoned driver. I remembered my own struggles with gear adjustments when I first began, feeling as though I were wrestling with an unfamiliar entity. But for Sarah, cars seemed to be mere playthings.
The destination was fairly obvious at this point. I wouldn't even think of going. However, Sarah had something up her sleeve. Or rather, somethings.
"But if I decline it... I'd take responsibility if any trouble arose due to bringing the girls along..." Somewhere in the recesses of my imagination, a thousand tongues clicked in resonance at the fact.
"So you can't very well leave them alone, especially since your family members are in attendance. What'd they think of the younger brother sending his friends over but the man himself lazed around his home?" she stated as she tapped on the wheel.
As she mentioned, I couldn't simply leave the five girls unattended in the backseats of the car...
"You're evil..."
"It's your older brother's birthday."
"I shouldn't go."
"Why not?"
"We're already late by an hour. I'm pretty sure they're cleaning up at this point already."
"An hour doesn't define a party. Also-" Sarah turned a left. "If you hadn't planned on going, why do you have a present for Grant on your lap right now?"
"I just thought I'd give it to him another day..."
"The very fact you brought it with you in the car means you hoped to go." she smiled at me. "The girls took their time to dress up in joining us, aren't you going to say something?"
"That's because you told them to dress up..."
Sarah's dress combined sophistication with effortless charm. A tailored black silhouette in soft muted hues exuding refined elegance, making the sharpness of her hairstyle stand out. The V-neck was enough to spur a man to generate a set of ideas into concrete fantasy. She wore a brown coat over the dress, clean lines and minimal details gave her a polished and relaxed vibe.
If we were related by blood, I would've teased her for cleaning up but she wasn't.
I looked at the girls at the backseat. Sure enough, while all of them weren't wearing dresses, their outfits were still fit for the occasion.
