With Sasha no longer a problem, I spent most of my time either in class or writing with of course the occasional daydream of my pretty obvious crush on my roommate's best friend.

I was packing up my stuff on the day Trent and Jake were driving up to come get me, when Alice knocked on the open door.

"Hey," she said.

"It's okay to come in," I replied. "Porsche left the door open because she went to the bathroom."

She stepped in, sitting down on the floor, right in front of Porsche's bed.

"You're going home today, right?" she asked after a moment.

"Yes and unfortunately for you, I'm taking the rest of my chocolate back this weekend," I replied, laughing at her pained expression.

She was only pretending to be sad because it meant she could no longer break into my boxes to save me from myself, and also my chocolate was deliciously addictive, I've been told.

"I'm gonna miss you," Alice said, "even if I only know you as my best friend's roommate."

"And I only know you as my roommate's best friend," I replied.

She chuckled, and looked down at her feet for a second before managing to look at my face again.

"Would it be weird if we hugged?" she asked.

I shrugged. "I think it would be weirder if we didn't do anything as a way of goodbye."

"You have a good point there."

We hugged, slightly laughing because oh god it was a little awkward but wow she actually hugs quite nicely.

Alice also might have kissed me on the cheek quickly as she pulled away.

"Okay. I just came to say goodbye- I mean I'll obviously see you when you get back, just....have a good time," she said.

"Thank you," I answered, my voice unusually quieter than normal.

She smiled, and left the room.

Which meant I was now even more confused than ever, and my roommate walked in about three seconds after her best friend walked out.

"Did something happen, what did I miss, did you guys kiss?" Porsche questioned me.

"Well....sorta. She did, on my cheek."

She groaned. "And I missed it! Damn it, you two. It's like watching IT 2017 over and over again and hoping, PRAYING, that one of your OTPs has a moment you never saw before!"

I rolled my eyes, but smiled. "Okay, move, I need to double check I have everything."

"And that's another thing, I still can't believe you have to go home this weekend, your future girlfriend would gladly hang out with you than work!" Porsche exclaimed.

I laughed. "I'm sorry, but family comes first."

"What if a very cute and kind girl fell in love with you?"

"Family and my girlfriend come first, but she's not my girlfriend yet."

"She could be if you tried harder," Porsche muttered under her breath.

I rolled my eyes and was probably about to retaliate, when my phone buzzed.

T: We're downstairs! :)

"Well unfortunately my ride's here, so I need to go," I said, quickly zipping up my suitcase and mentally reminding myself it would only be two days and T and J would look after me.

Porsche huffed, but she hugged me anyway. "Just please don't fall in love with anyone else before you get back."

"I highly doubt that will happen, but I'll text you to remind me just in case," I answered.

"Yay. Okay, I'm good now. You can go."

So I headed downstairs dragging my suitcase behind me, with another bag hung round my shoulder.

Trent and Jake squealed when they saw me, I had never been so happy to see two of my most favourite people ever.

"I missed you guys so much," I said when we hugged.

"Awe, not as much as we missed you," T replied.

"Not nearly as much," J added.

I went home with my brother and my best friend, leaving my sister to go out and probably endanger herself multiple times but she'd made it very clear she didn't need me to help her.

So I gave up on trying to help.
