I decided I was in need of an Emergency Dance Party; something Trent and Jake conjured up for whenever bad thoughts claimed our minds and moods.

On my phone, Megan's, T's and J's was a special playlist dedicated to these times. Filled with upbeat happy songs designed to lift up our moods.

And I just happened to have brought back a portable speaker that was fully charged.

I connected my phone to it and blasted the music carefree; Mondays were always the times everyone would go out, seeing as the first day of the week was so stressful and they basically don't give a damn.

There was nobody to disturb.

Although of course every single little bit of panic I had inside of me came rushing back up when someone knocked on the door.

Thankfully it was only Alice.

I gestured for her to come in as I went over and turned down the volume.

"As you can clearly see, Porsche is not here," I said.

"Who said I came here to see my best friend and not her roommate?"

"Well....that's a surprising development, I'll admit."

She laughed. "That's one way to put it."

"I already ate all the chocolate with my delightful brother and equally delightful best friend."

Alice feigned offence.

"No, I wanted to see if you'd agree to hang out with me but judging by the fact I may or may not have walked in on you having a dance party," she said.

"Emergency dance party, technically," I replied.

"What makes it an emergency?"

I shrugged. "Bad moods, usually, but I guess I'm not feeling very down."

"So, just a dance party for the heck of it?"

"Well it is one of the only nights of the week everyone is out."

"Hmm, can't argue with that. Mind if I join you?"

I thought my mind was playing some kind of cruel trick on me. "Seriously?"

"Yes, please."

I was silent for a moment, kind of lost of words.

"I mean....sure, if you want to."

"I think I would have left by now if I didn't."

"Alright, just hang on."

I picked up my phone and went back to the start of the song I had been listening to before Alice had shown up.

We danced, we laughed, and with each song that passed I was falling more and more in love.

But I still couldn't do anything. I was scared, my first relationship didn't even count because Sasha and I were clueless, and the only love I had ever written about was for Alicia and Allison, despite having no knowledge of love myself.

Porsche would be out for blood if I told her any of this, seeing as she ships Alice and I together so hard she'd destroy the world if it meant we kissed.

And let's just pretend for a moment that she didn't walk in when Alice and I were taking a break, lying down next to each other on my bed.

Let's just save all that for the next chapter, okay? Okay then.
