AARON (Two years later)

"You know this is not fair."

Addison is trying to get out of this, but I won't let her.

"When you got your MVP I let you celebrate with me only. I didn't ask for this big party by the way."

I chuckle and she punches my arm playfully.

"Ow." It always hurts her fingers more than it does my arm.

The team has now won three cups under my captaincy.

We have a great coach called Coach Fred, and I have won two MVPs, one last year and this year. The year before Joshua won it.

I really have become a better captain and I have a therapist that I see from time to time, when I have a hard time, but I am better now. No nightmares, no storms. Only Addison and her lighting up my whole life.

Also, this year was Addison's last as team doctor and tomorrow is the opening of her new center.

I am so proud of her, I can't stop saying it to her.

"I wanted us to have lots of sex!"

"You might want to say it louder, I think that dog walker over there didn't hear you."

She rolls her eyes and fights the urge to smile at me.

She thinks everybody is at the house waiting to celebrate with her, but she doesn't know that I also want to have lots of sex with her. After I do what I planned for tonight.

I park in our garage and head to the front door. The house is too quiet and dark.

"Aaron?" And she notices. I smile to myself and open the door.

Violet petals are all over the floor making a path to the backyard.

She gives me a sweet smile that I'll keep forever engraved in my memory. She knows what's happening and I love it. She walks through the house and opens the doors to the backyard.

I follow her and grip the box in my pants harder to stop my hand from shaking.

For the last two years, I have kept all my promises to Addison. I have rebuilt her trust in me, I have protected her from my own selfishness and I have become the man she deserves. The man who's worthy of her love.

I put on 'She' by Elvis Costello and took her hand in mine.

"Dance with me."

We dance in our backyard. She looks beautiful in her lavender dress that shows her curves perfectly. Her face is so angelic and everything about her tonight feels perfect.

I knew today was the day I'd ask Addison Carter to marry me when she woke up in my arms and looked at me like she trusted me again.

She looked at me like I was her whole world, and that her soul wanted mine forever. She looked at me like she adores me.

"I have waited for you too at me like this for two years. I knew it would happen." I whisper in her ears.

Her head is resting on my shoulder and we are holding each other like we're scared to ever let go.

"You waited for me."

"I will always wait for you."

"I adore you, baby." She kisses the side of my jaw. Dios, I have waited for those exact words. I close my eyes and enjoy them. Enjoy her like this.
