Flowers are beautiful.

They are beauty's that come in different shapes, sizes and colours.

They have different meanings, all special to each of them.

They are just like people.

All different.

But soon, flowers will wither and slowly die.

But they were still fascinating while they lasted.

You can pick flowers, you can give them life and water.

Or you can cut off their petals and watch them bleed.

The flowers feel, unlike other plants.

They can sense how you feel as well.

They will comfort you.

That's why they make such great gifts.

But no matter how much you try and preserve them, they will soon die.

Just like people.

People die.

And you may be able to replace them.

But they are still dead.

Sanji pulled a Lillie from the bush and placed it in his basket. As he looked down, he caught a glimpse of the golden bracelets that cuffed his hands.

His body stung and ached as he continued onwards to where Reiju was. He felt like throwing up. There was still an ominous taste on his tongue.

Sanji looked at the ground as he walked. The grass was green.

Zoro

Sanji had made a promise with his father. They could beat and abuse him as much as they wanted, as long as they didn't kill Zoro.

The bracelets around his wrists would detonate if he tried to run away, and the collar around his neck would tighten if he disobeyed. He was a prisoner. A prisoner to his own family.

He wished Zoro would run to him and take him away from here. But Zoro is going to be arrested by the marines, and Sanji will never see him again.

He saw Reiju lying in the feild peacefully. Sanji walked over, his face a deep frown. He felt tears in his eyes.

Sanji dropped to his knees and cried. Placing the flowers next to Reiju. She was asleep. Tears fell on the dirt and Sanji crumbled next to his sister.

Everything was going wrong.

His life was ruined.

...

Crying wasn't going to get Sanji anywhere. He stood up and placed the rest of the flowers down before turning back to the castle. He took one last look at Reiju before walking away.

The stone glistened in the sunlight.

Sanji took the time to read the words on the gravestone.

Reiju Vinsmoke
