Yonji pushed the door open, walking into the small ballroom. There were four golden thrones at the end, lined with red velvet. One was larger than the rest, made for a larger man. There was only one seat that was occupied. His blue haired brother sat on the velvet throne beside the larger one, second in command I guess you could call it.

Sanji knelt by Niji's side like a dog, the metal chain tight around his neck. He looked weak and his eyes were dull, like all the emotion had been sucked out of his body and replaced with something far worse. His body was beaten and bruised, red marks were scattered like stars all around his skin and his blank expression told stories that even Yonji didn't want to hear.

Sanji rested his chin on Niji's knee, just to stop him from nodding off or passing out. He looked tired, almost as though he hadn't gotten a single minute of sleep in the past month. Dark shade was built up under his eyes and his lips were swollen and slightly purple. It was winter, so it was pretty bloody cold in the castle.

"Hey Niji," Yonji said as he strode into the ballroom. Niji raised his head, pausing from stroking Sanji's dark hair.

"Good evening dearest brother, how may I help you?" Niji rested his cheek on his hand as he watched his brother walk closer.

"Just wanted to visit and see Sanji of course, he looks pretty beat up, how far did you go?" Yonji asked, stopping in front of the stairs that raised up the thrones.

Niji chuckled and looked back down at Sanji, who seemed to be sleeping. Niji reached his hand down and twirled Sanji's hair between his fingers.

"He's alright, I went far but I didn't kill him." Niji said softly, almost as if he were talking to Sanji instead of Yonji.

"He looks tired, best for him to get some sleep. He's got to be awake for tomorrow."Yonji said, collapsing in the chair next to Niji's.

"Yes, tomorrow~." Niji smiled, though it wasn't a smile of happiness. Yonji sighed and leaned back in his throne, looking up at the large ceiling.

"Hey Niji?" Yonji looked over at him.

"Yes?" Niji replied, turning his head to look at his brother.

"What are we doing with the Zoro guy?" Yonji asked.

"Him? We're going to kill his crew and take their money, as we said." Niji said.

"Are you sure you want to do that? Maybe it's just better to hand him over and take the money, if we kill them, we'll have most of the pirates in the grand line on our backs. The Strawhats are pretty well known, and their leader is much loved. Are you sure we should kill him?"

"Ichiji's orders, not mine." Niji stopped before correcting himself.

"Well.. Fathers orders."

"But don't you think they might be too powerful to handle?"

"Take that up with Father, not me." Niji said, giving up and continuing to play with Sanji's hair.

Yonji sighed.

"Fine, I'll ask Ichiji to talk to Him about it." Yonji said, standing up and beginning to walk away.

Niji watched as his younger brother continued down the red carpet.

"Wait."

Yonji turned around, listening for what his older brother had to say.

"What?"

"Remember your place Yonji. Four. You are fourth in command, the weakest of us all. You don't hold power above us, only below you. You have no say Yonji, and that's how it will be.

You are the youngest of the Vinsmoke family.

Remember that Yonji."

"Thanks." Yonji turned away, his fists clenching so hard that he might start to bleed from where his nails pushed into his skin.

"Goodbye number 4."

Niji chuckled silently as Yonji left the room, his anger building up like a volcano. Sanji's eyes blinked subtly and his eyelids slowly opened.

"Good morning," Niji said, brushing Sanji's bruised cheek with his thumb.

"N-Niji.." Sanji mumbled weakly.

"Go back to sleep, I'll wake you up in the morning."

Sanji lightly nodded his head before closing his eyes once more.

"Sleep well~," Niji said before going back to stroking the younger males hair.

Outside the ballroom

"Fucking blue headed bitch..." Yonji mumbled to himself as he stormed through the hall.

"I'll show them, I'm not number four, I'm better than them all combined..." he continued.

"I swear, when I get back I'll-,"
