Aiko walked into the school, her body teeming with nerves. Her parents and cousin were going to be here, watching. The people that she looked up to and cared about most were going to be watching her. She gulped and got into her gym uniform, repeating the rules that Aizawa told her the day before.
"Now we know that Haru is probably going to try to help you. However, we all talked about it and we figured that it would be unfair if he himself acted to aid you. However, we understand that it is a big part of your quirk. So, we have a few rules. You may use Haru's energy, but he is not allowed to use his quirk. Not even if he possesses you. In fact, if he does possess you, then we will consider you to be out. This festival is for you, not him. Got it?"
'I will have to function without Haru... well I guess I can still use his energy, but other than that, I'm on my own. This will be a challenge...' Aiko thought to herself as she entered the waiting room. Her eyes met Bakugo's ruby ones, so Aiko walked up and sat beside him. Bakugo then said, "Don't you dare fuck up just because a bunch of people are watching. Only losers get stage fright. Use the audience as a reason to do better, to show that you're the best. Well, the second best. I'm winning this competition. But you better get second place, Ghost Face. I didn't spend two weeks training you just for you to look like a loser out there."
"I know," Aiko said, "Thanks Bakugo."
"Wait, Bakubro trained you Gessei?" Kirishima asked, walking over.
"Um, kinda..." Aiko whispered.
"That's unexpected!" Kaminari remarked, leaning on the table in front of Bakugo, "Who knew that Bakugo was so nice?"
"I WILL KILL YOU, DUNCE FACE!!!" Bakugo screamed, chasing Kaminari around the room.
Mina walked up and started complaining about how she wanted to wear her hero costume. "It's ok Mina, I think the PE uniform looks good on you," Aiko reassured, patting her back.
Mina smiled and hugged Aiko, "You bet your ass I do!"
Todoroki then challenged Midoriya, causing Aiko to quirk a brow. 'What's got his panties in a bunch?' she thought to herself before silently laughing, 'I guess I'm picking up Haru's vocabulary.'
"Alright, it's time to go," Iida informed.
Aiko took a deep breath and Haru walked up to her. "Don't worry. I know I'm not allowed to help that much, but I'm still here for you," he reassured.
"Thanks Haru..." Aiko whispered with a soft smile.
They walked out to the field, Present Mic giving them a grand introduction. Aiko looked around the audience. "Oh god..." Aiko whispered, sinking into herself slightly.
Bakugo saw this and growled, "Remember what I said, dumbass."
Aiko looked at him for a moment before nodding, confidence filling her chest. 'I got trained by not only a former second-year at UA, but also the best in our class. I can do this.' Aiko's posture straightened and she held her head high. Bakugo smirked, "Alright Ghost Face. Let's show these extras who's on top."
The rest of the classes were called and then Midnight called Bakugo up to say the student pledge. 'Oh god don't say anything stupid...' Aiko thought to herself.
"I just wanna say... I'm gonna win," Bakugo said into the mic.
Aiko facepalmed as Haru cackled. Everyone started booing. "How could you say something so disrespectful! You're representing us!" Iida scolded.
"It's not my fault you all are stepping stones on the way to my victory," Bakugo scowled before walking down. As he approached Aiko, she said, "Bakugo... you're an idiot."
