Chapter 25: Training for an Ultimate Move

Aiko finally was rid of her crutches thanks to Recovery Girl, just in time for their extra training and lessons that were supposed to take place during the summer camp. Aizawa guided the class to Gym Gamma, where Cementoss introduced the new area that he referred to as the Training Dining Land, or TDL (like Tokyo Disney Land). Aizawa then said that they'd be training to develop ultimate moves - something he believed would make them able to pass the provisional license exam, which was coming up quickly. Aiko put on her hero costume and, unfortunately, had trouble putting her brace on over it. Luckily though, she was able to do it after enough time. Aiko walked out there, limping slightly as she was getting used to wearing the brace by itself, and made her way to her training area. An Ectoplasm clone appeared and asked, "Do you have any ideas?"

Aiko shook her head, not sure of how to use her quirk to make an ultimate move. Ectoplasm looked around for a moment before turning toward Midoriya. "Have you considered centering your energy in one spot before a strike?" he asked.

Haru then gasped, "Like what you did in the Sports Festival when you punched the shit out of Todoroki!"

Aiko considered it and realized that Ectoplasm and Haru were right - and she remembered how much damage that one punch did. Aiko said, "Ok," and turned toward him, taking 5% of Haru's energy and centering the energy in her fist before punching Ectoplasm.

The clone was blown back a few feet and smiled, "Well done. Now work on cultivating that energy so that it can be more efficient. Maybe try using more energy in that punch."

Aiko nodded and continued attacking him, centering her energy in her fists as she attacked. After a while, she sighed and sat down on the ground, out of breath. "Good progress, but I'm not sure that it qualifies as an ultimate move just yet. An ultimate move must be something that you pull out as the ace up your sleeve that almost always turns the tide of the battle in your favor. Don't be afraid to take risks," Ectoplasm stated.

Aiko nodded and left the platform, realizing that she had a terrible time keeping track of how much energy she had left, especially during the heat of battle. Then, inspiration struck.

Aiko gasped and started running through the school, Haru following close behind, despite being very confused. Aiko then saw Midoriya, Iida, and Uraraka as a door blew open and a girl landed on top of Midoriya. Aiko quirked a brow and Haru started laughing as Midoriya, very flustered, tried to get this girl off him. The girl stood up and Aiko observed her appearance, finding that she barely remembered the girl as the one who turned Iida into a 20 minute commercial about her inventions during the Sports Festival. Power Loader then came out of the room and started scolding Hatsume about blowing up the lab. Aiko followed her classmates into the lab and looked around, enamored by the sheer amount of inventions that were packed into the room. She then turned around to see Hatsume basically assaulting Midoriya as she tried to get his measurements. Aiko chuckled nervously as Haru started laughing, "Man she's off her rocker."

Aiko discreetly approached Power Loader and said, "Um... I'd like to try getting an eye piece that could tell me my energy levels..."

Before Power Loader could respond, Hatsume ran forward and grabbed Aiko by her shoulders and said, "I have the perfect baby for you!"

Aiko tensed as Hatsume dragged her to a pile of inventions and put a VR headset on her. "This headset can provide you with 360 vision so no villains can ever sneak up on you!"

Aiko couldn't comprehend everything around her, the sight making her very sick. "This is not what I wanted," Aiko groaned before collapsing, the invention falling apart on impact.

All Aiko could hear was chaos alongside Haru cackling at their demise. Aiko groaned, looking down at her knee which was throbbing thanks to the impact. Hatsume turned and saw this, bending down and closely observing the brace. Aiko tensed, desperately not wanting this girl to mess her knee up further. "This type of brace is used for damage to cartilage, yes? I could help you out by making a brace that's apart of your costume and supports your joint better with the high-impact work that you heroes do," Hatsume said calmly.
