Chapter 30: New Information

Aiko and Midoriya were called into their work study, and happened to be going to the same place as Kirishima, Uraraka, and Tsu. Aiko and Haru watched suspiciously as they seemed to gain more heroes along the way as they traveled, all headed to Nighteye's agency. As they entered Nighteye's agency, they noticed a large influx of heroes who were usually not there. Aiko eyed Fat Gum, Ryukyu, Rock Lock, and even Aizawa. "What's going on?" Aiko asked to no one in particular.

"It's likely they're having a meeting, and you're invited for some reason..." Haru answered. 

Nighteye then called everyone to a table, saying, "Thank you all for joining me. We are here to discuss the information you all have shared regarding the yakuza group, Shie Hassaikai and what we believe they might be planning."

Mutters echoed down the table as Bubble Girl stepped up. "Let's start from the beginning, for the past few weeks now, those of us at Nighteye Agency have been conducting an investigation into Shie Hassaikai, a small, but organized group of criminals."

After some other small explanations, including the explanation of terms for the UA students, Rock Lock growled, "What are kids doing at this meeting? We're never going to get to the point if we have to stop and explain every little thing."

Aiko gulped, hiding her face in her bangs. "These two have important information!" Fat Gum exclaimed, gesturing to Kirishima and Tamaki. 

"Hassaikai's movements are hard to trace, but we suspect one of their main sources of income to be the sale and manufacture of illegal drugs, so I have requested help from heroes who have some expertise in that area," Nighteye explained.

Fat Gum went on to explain his background with taking down drug dealers and that Tamaki had recently been shot by a bullet that temporarily erased his quirk. Aizawa then took the time to explain the difference between his quirk and the bullets, the latter causing damage to the quirk genes within a person. "And when we analyzed the contents of the bullet, we discovered something that made me sick to my stomach," Fat Gum continued, "Human blood and cells..."

Aiko's heart sank, her mind immediately jumping to the worst possible conclusion. "Don't tell me..." Haru started, unable to complete the thought due to how horrible it was.

"In other words, that affect came from a person, someone's power. A quirk that can destroy quirks," Ryukyu stated.

"How is this all related to the Hassaikai?" someone asked.

After a short explanation from Fat Gum that the Hassaikai is likely to be connected to the drugs. "Their young head, Kai Chisaki, quirk Overhaul. With this power, he can disassemble things and reassemble them. A quirk that allows him to completely break down matter. And a bullet that can break down quirks," Nighteye stated, "Chisaki has a daughter named Eri... there are no records or details of her birth, but when Mirio, Midoriya, and Gessei encountered her, they noticed there were bandages wrapped around her body."

"Could he really...?" Ryukyu asked.

Aiko's face paled as she realized that what she had feared was the likely answer. A feeling of nausea bubbled in her gut, raising a fist to her mouth. Haru growled at the idea, the lights in the room flickering as everyone looked around in confusion. "H-Haru... calm down," Aiko stated.

"Wait, what's going on?" Uraraka asked.

"I'm only going to explain this once... we think that Chisaki is turning his daughter's body into bullets," Rock Lock stated.

The entire room's mood darkened. 'How could I let her go back to him?! I should have stopped her! I should have saved her!' Aiko silently cried, curling her hands into fists, digging her fingernails into her palms to the point that blood started dripping down her palms.
