Chapter 17: A Secret

All Might stared at three unconscious teens in front of him as Recovery Girl fussed about the students, tending to their injuries. One, his successor. Two, a troubled boy with a lot of talent. Three, a girl who can see spirits and use the energy of others. The girl who used One For All. All Might sighed and put his head in his hands, frustrated as he thought about where to go from there. After a while of self conflict, he sighed and said, "That's a conversation for another day... you kids need rest."

The next day, Aiko walked into class with Haru beside her as usual. Mina, Kirishima, and Kaminari were about to come up and greet her when they noticed the cast on her left arm and the braces on her right wrist and knee. "Oh my god Aiko are you ok?!" Mina exclaimed, catching the attention of the other students in the room.

Aiko nervously chuckled and explained, "It's from yesterday. Since I used so much energy during the fight, Recovery Girl physically couldn't repair my injuries properly without risking my health. She'll be able to finish it later today."

Mina, Kirishima, and Kaminari all calmed down, however Kirishima walked up and grabbed Aiko's things out of her hands. "Kiri, you don't have to do that," Aiko whispered.

"It would be unmanly of me if I didn't!" he reassured.

Aiko blushed and followed him to their seats. She sat down and sighed, "Thanks Kiri..."

"No problem!" he replied with a wide smile.

"You did so awesome in your fight yesterday!" Mina exclaimed.

Aiko blushed, "I didn't do that great..."

"Bullshit! You did awesome! You totally beat up All Might!" Mina exclaimed, "It was kinda hot to be honest."

"W-what?" Aiko asked.

"Yeah! I was watching the screen and all I could think was that you were super badass and super hot!" Kaminari exclaimed.

Aiko blushed and hid her face in her hair. "I told you that you did fantastic!" Haru exclaimed.

Todoroki walked up and remarked, "I don't know what Kaminari and Ashido mean by hot, but I'd have to agree that you did very well in your fight."

Haru, Mina, and Kaminari stared at Todoroki in shock. "What do you mean you don't know what we mean by hot?!" Mina exclaimed.

Todoroki quirked a brow, "Did I miss something? Is she running a fever?"

Haru and Kaminari began cackling as Mina just gaped at the stoic boy. Aiko blushed and turned around to face Todoroki. "It's slang. They mean to say that I looked very attractive, although I don't know why they'd say that..." Aiko explained.

"Oh, that's what they meant?" he asked and Aiko nodded, "I'd have to agree then. You are physically very attractive."

Aiko's face turned beat red and the other three instantly turned around toward him. Mina squealed, "I knew it!!!"

"Goddammit there's no way I can compete with him..." Kaminari lamented.

Haru was dancing around the background, cooing at Aiko teasingly. Todoroki quirked a brow. "What? Did I say something wrong?" he asked.

Aiko was too flustered to say anything while Kirishima came up and said, "Dude, you just admitted that you thought a girl was pretty. Nobody ever expected that YOU of all people would admit that."

Todoroki shrugged, "I don't see the big deal. I was simply stating a fact."

Mina started squealing more before Sero came in and was moping. "What's wrong dude?" Kaminari asked.
