Haru's apparition faded as he was being pulled through the portal, no longer visible to the average person. He looked around and saw that he and Bakugo were now in a bar, surrounded by villains. The flame villain wrestled Bakugo into a chair and chained him up. "Where the hell is that other guy?" the flame villain asked.
"What other guy, Dabi?" Shigaraki asked, annoyed.
"Another kid, a little older than this one, was holding onto Bakugo when we went into the portal," Dabi explained, "He wasn't any of the students on your list. Hell, I don't think I've ever seen him before. He seemed to appear out of nowhere."
It was then that Bakugo realized that he wasn't alone, remembering the way that boy was holding his wrist. 'Who was that?' Bakugo thought to himself, but then he remembered the boy's appearance.
The boy was about his height, had tan skin, lime green hair, and hazel-brown eyes. Exactly the description that Aiko had given for Haru. Bakugo's eyes widened slightly in realization as he recognized the cold presence of Haru in this room. The lizard villain shivered, "Is it just me or is it cold in here?"
"That's just because you're cold blooded, Spinner," Toga remarked.
"No, I feel it too," Magne stated.
"I as well," Mr. Compress remarked.
The other villains began to shiver, realizing that Spinner was right. A voice then sounded from the television in the corner. "Well this is interesting. It seems you have also taken the paranormal companion of Aiko Gessei."
Haru sighed and moved through the room, standing directly in front of Bakugo. Haru turned around and knelt beside the boy, gathering as much of his energy as he could, "I'll protect you. Don't worry kid."
Bakugo's eyes widened slightly, surprised at hearing Haru's disembodied voice, before he grit his teeth. "I don't need your help stupid ghost," Bakugo muttered under his breath.
Haru studied the boy for a moment and realized that Bakugo had relaxed slightly. A small smile came to Haru's face. 'He doesn't want to admit it, but he's glad I'm here. I can tell.'

Aiko opened her eyes and looked around the hospital room, not really sure of where she was or what had happened. The only thing she could see were many people sitting beside her bed, only able to make out the colors of their hair. Aiko tried to move, but her body ached all over, causing her to groan, catching the attention of her visitors. "Gessei," the familiar voice of Todoroki said.
Aiko tried to sit up, but another hand reached out, "Relax. You're still healing," the uncharacteristically calm voice of Kirishima said.
"W-where am I?" Aiko asked, her voice finally returned.
"The hospital... after the villains disappeared, ambulances, heroes, and police finally showed up. You passed out almost immediately after they were taken," Todoroki said.
'What? What's he talking about? Villains? Taken? Wh-' Aiko's thoughts stopped as her vision cleared, revealing most of her classmates beside her, and her memories came rushing back, hitting her like a truck. "Haru!" Aiko exclaimed, looking around the room for her paranormal friend, but he wasn't there.
"Haru went through the portal with the villains... we all saw him," Todoroki stated.
Tears welled in her eyes as she turned toward her classmates, "W-where's Bakugo? Haru must still be with him... I need to find them!"
Everyone's expressions fell. "Bakugo hasn't been found yet..." Iida stated.
Aiko began to choke on a sob, her world growing small and claustrophobic. It felt impossible to draw in a breath, and so the machines hooked up to her vitals started beeping faster, alerting that she wasn't breathing, and that her blood pressure and heart rate had risen. "Gessei," Todoroki said, kneeling beside her, grabbing her hand.
