I saw Proctor Ibiki point to the Sound Ninja. "You, from Hidden Sound Village! No doing as you please before the Exam! You want to be failed at the get go?!"
I looked at the Sound Ninja. The leader smiled, "Sorry. It's our first time taking the Exams, so we flipped out, despite ourselves." Liars, I thought.
Ibiki smirked, "Hmph. This is a good opportunity, so I'll say this." We all looked at him as he announced, "There will be no battles, competitions, and the like without the permission of the proctors. And even if you get permission, actions that could lead to the death of an opponent will not be permitted. Any pig that screws with me will be disqualified immediately. Got it!?"
The other male Sound Shinobi smirked, "This Exam looks to be easy!" Ibiki ignored him, "Now then, we will start the first test of the Chunin Exam! Turn in your applications, take one of these number cards in exchange."
He showed us a paper card. "And sit in the seat matching that number! After that, we will hand out the paper for the written test!" Naruto was having a problem with that.
I turned in my application and I got my number. 46. I searched and noticed something horrifying: Sasuke was three rows behind me, Gaara was two rows diagonal, and Lee was four rows to the left. Oh Kami, help me.
"There are several important rules to this test. I will take no questions, so listen well accordingly! First off is the first rule! You are given ten points each from the start! The written test has ten problems in all! Each question is a point. And this test is a point deduction system. You are deducted one point for each problem you get wrong! If you get three wrong, you'll get seven points!"
He looked over to see a bunch of determined faces. "The second rule," he continued, "Pass or fail will be determined by the total points of the three-person teams."
"W-Wait a minute!" No, Sakura, shut up. "What do you mean...total points of the teams?" "Shut up!" Thank you Ibiki. "There's a perfectly good reason for this! Shut up and listen."
Sakura calmed down a bit. "If you've got it, here is the most important next rule! Those who are deemed by the sentinels as having committed an act of cheating or something like that...will have two points deducted for each act."
That shocked most of the students. "In other words, there may be those who will be dismissed during this test without waiting for their test grading."
He seemed to rant non-stop, "Knowing that those who commit awkward cheating...will bring ruin upon yourselves." The sentinel, who I recognized from the second floor, said, "I'll check you anytime." I looked over to him awkwardly.
"If you aspire to become a Chunin at all, know that Shinobi should act like exemplary Shinobi." I could see Sakura, literally praying.
"And in the case of even one person on the team getting zero points...Everyone on that team will fail!" I tried to breathe as I turned to see Naruto. He looked like he was gonna be sick. I looked behind him and saw Sakura and Sasuke glaring at him.
I put attention back on the proctor. "By the way, the last problem will be given forty-five minutes, after the start of the test. The time of the test is one hour." The clock ticked. "Begin!"
I peeked behind me and saw Sasuke and Sakura, staring at Naruto. they think he'll fail us all. Naruto smiled it off. I looked at the test, and it looked easy enough.
It was simple math, right? The questions got challenging. Not hard, but challenging. I looked slightly to my right to see Gaara, cleverly cheating. I focused on the other questions, which were involving a stress on cheating or not.
I saw through other people's cheats. Ten Ten messing with the roof, Gaara using a jutsu, Shino using insects, and Kiba using Akamaru. The purpose of the test was to cheat without getting caught, huh?
Well, if you're going to solve a problem, make sure that your thoughts aren't so loud, Kiba. I secretly used my Aniran to read Kiba's mind. Akamaru was telling him the answer in barks. Although Kiba kept repeating the answer in his head. It followed a lot of "Yahoo!" and "Just a little more."
I heard lots of people being told to leave. I kept my focus in Kiba's answer. Turns out that I was done quicker than Sakura, since I also looked in her answers, but I was never again was I going through her mind. There was way too many things going on in there.
I noticed Gaara shift his hand to his eye. I smirked, that jutsu isn't new.
Still using childhood pranks now, Gaara?
