Akiko was awake while Naruto was snoring. Shocking? Not really. Akiko looked over to see Naruto's peaceful face, maybe dreaming about ramen. Akiko stared back down at the sheets, her mind concerned about Scar. He was in the hospital, and even though he rarely cared about her, the fact that Amber's tears had something to do with him, she decided to go visit him.
She crept up out of bed and got dressed quietly, without disturbing Naruto. She found Ichiraku sleeping, and he sleepily looked up, he barked quietly. "Shhh, I don't want you to wake up Naruto," Akiko whispered. The pup seemed to understand and fell back to sleep. Akiko let out a smile and opened the door. She heard Naruto toss and turn. She walked quietly outside and closed the door with caution.
Sighing, she walked to the hospital. There were drunkards and lots of other people walking around so she had to be careful. She almost got caught by two other men, peeking to see a lady, who actually tried to push them away, and her underwear. Akiko, unable to stand their perverted looks, grabbed them both by their necks and tossed them onto the ground. "Are you okay?" She asked the lady. "Y-yes, thank you," she shivered.
"Be careful next time!" "I will!" Then she walked away. Akiko sighed, most days she just needed to stop being a vigilante. Following her original route on going to the hospital, she saw it in sight. There weren't a lot of people there, surprisingly. She went inside and hid from lots of doctors. Then, she waited for a nurse to leave, to look for a certain room, "Floor 6, Room 12: Scar Kaminari." Found it!
Akiko looked around to see if anybody noticed she was here. No one saw her. Huh? Well that's weird. "Yeah, Visibility Zero makes you as visible as a fog, these people won't be able to see you." "EH! You mean to tell me that you've turned the place into a fog?" "No, only you, that way, you can get past without being seen, well, it's gonna be hard to see you anyway, hurry up, this thing's got a limit of ten minutes!"
In a hurry, Akiko ran as fast as she could past ninja, bumping into a few people, muttering "sorry's". In exactly ten minutes, the jutsu disappeared and Akiko reached the fifth floor. She sighed, "Got anything else?" "Nope, that takes a lot of chakra, unless you want me to burn you to a crisp and eat you? I can do that." Akiko sweatdropped, "N-no, I'm fine."
She saw someone come out of a room, and realized that it was Shizune, Tsunade's....student? She thought it was that. As if she could sense her, Shizune turned and Akiko hid behind a cart, carrying food. The older lady walked past her and Akiko sighed. "Never again, am I gonna do this."
She walked up some stairs to Floor 6. She peered at a window and saw how far from the ground she was. Suddenly she felt dizzy. "You're scared of heights?" Akiko rubbed her eyes. "I'm scared of falling, but I'm not gonna fall out of a window six floors up right?" "I wouldn't be so sure." "Wow, you're such a great companion." "I do my best."
Finally, she found Room 12. Exhausted, but happy, she opened the door, only to receive a kick to the face. She fell back, "That would've hurt." Who was she kidding, it hurt a lot! "Akiko?" She looked up to see her brunette friend. She forced herself to do a grin, it was hard with the pain. "Aye!" "What are you doing here?" "To see the duckbutt," she replied in a sarcastic tone.
Amber raised her eyebrow, Didn't know she was sarcastic. Akiko chuckled, "I'm kidding, I'm here to see Scar." Amber didn't move, "How did you get in here?" Akiko put up two hands as if she was gonna do a jutsu but nothing happened, "I've got my own power, hehe." Still as childish as ever.
Amber gave her a wary look before Akiko got up and let her in the room. She could see clearly that Akiko wasn't reacting to the sight of Scar, who was looking insanely disturbed. Instead she sat next to the other side of his bed, and ran her fingers through his hair. Amber would've clawed out her throat, had she not noticed that it had calmed down Scar for a little while.
As soon as her fingers left his hair, Scar cringed again. "Amber, you look like you need a lot of rest," she recommended. "I'm fine, I'm not tired," she replied, but she was yawning. Akiko giggled and looked back at Scar. She had a recent dream about her mother, singing to her a lullaby. It must have been a really strong one. She quietly sung:
"Words are born into air,
And quickly fade out in the wind,
But they find their way inside you
Where they live on forever more
When the skies are dark and full of rain
Look inside your heart.
A light, so warm will come and glow,
Shining just like the sun.
You can see,
Just how much you've grown,
How strong you are,
A love will open up to you
And it starts from the day, you
First heard those words."
Akiko finished to see Scar's face grow calm. She smiled, "Sweet dreams Scar." Even though she really shouldn't have, she kissed his forehead, like she did to Naruto whenever he had a nightmare. She looked over at Amber who was quietly sleeping, snoring quietly. She must've been really tired. Smiling, she saw a blanket and covered Amber up with it. "Sweet dreams Amber."
With that, she walked out of the room, leaving her two friends sleeping.
