Stone Cold Human

There was a deathly silence, except the quiet breathing of the redhead. A lot had changed since the invasion of the Leaf. The Hokage had died in order to take Orochimaru's soul, but Orochimaru himself was still alive.

There was a loss of ninja, female and men. None would affect Team 7 as much as Akiko. Her fight with both Scar and Gaara had weakened her completely, and along with her cracked rib, was stuck in a coma.

Sasuke visited as often as Sakura, who was busy with something else almost constantly. He was normally training by himself, which wouldn't seem as a surprise. Nobody visited as much as Naruto and Kakashi, who were both worried about Akiko in all.

Despite being in a coma for a record of five days, Akiko had underwent a heart attack three times in the first two days. Kakashi didn't trust himself to leave on any missions without seeing if she was going to wake up, or live. Naruto stayed put, from the morning until night, telling Akiko stories about what he remembered after his Mind Seal broke.

Kakashi had left the hospital, leaving Naruto and Sasuke with the unconscious Akiko. Naruto tried to hold back tears, while Sasuke, kept blaming himself for everything that had happened to her. Sakura had gone somewhere else, her new routine. Naruto walked out of the room, which was completely silent.

He sat in a chair outside in the hallway, and muttered, "I'm sorry Aki." Sasuke had walked out, and saw something that ticked him off. He nudged Naruto's shoulder. He looked up quickly to see Sasuke point at someone very familiar at the end of the hallway. Scar.

What was he doing here? He didn't deserve to see Akiko if that's what he was here for. Scar pretended not to see them as he started walking down the hallway. Sasuke and Naruto both got the same idea to follow him, only to find themselves in an empty room, with a slightly open window, Scar in the middle of the window.

"What do you want?" He asked coldly. With his cold and uncaring personality, it wasn't shocking. Sasuke growled, "You jerk, how dare you come here? You haven't even visited her ever since she fought you." Scar looked over at him and raised an eyebrow. "Jerk? What are you, 7? Oh wait, I beat your ass at that age."

Naruto glared, "Nobody messes with Sasuke, but me." Scar let out a sarcastic chuckle, "Oh yeah. I heard about the kiss. What's next? Marriage?" Both the boys reddened, except Scar of course who looked like he could be anywhere else. Sasuke laughed nervously, "Not with him."

Scar bit back a smirk, and tried not to let it show, "Well, your obvious crush on Akiko let's me know that you're thinking about her. But then again, she doesn't like you. So I think Naruto is your best bet." Naruto's reaction was really slow. He turned to Sasuke, with a surprised look on his face, "You like Akiko? Gross, she's like my sister!"

At that moment, Sasuke blushed a dark red. Scar let out another sarcastic chuckle, "You guys have feelings, that's why you're so weak." He walked past the two boys and was almost out the door when Sasuke muttered, "At least they're still my friends." Scar stopped, and replied, "This is why you'll never kill Itachi."

Seething with rage, Sasuke ran up and tried to punch Scar, who dodged it with ease. Then, with a bored look on his face, kicked Sasuke out the window. Naruto's face was a mixture of shock, fear, and happiness. His rival just got beaten, but he looked over to Scar, who was staring at his expression.

Akiko in her coma flashed in Naruto's mind. His anger got the best of him as he growled, "You bastard! Go to hell!" He ran over and punched Scar in the face. Scar didn't dodge it, as he was mainly just going to let Naruto hit him. "You're annoying," he muttered. Then, he punched Naruto in stomach, and kicked the boy in the crotch.

Naruto was wheezing, "What the hell is the matter with you? Us three used to be friends! Don't you care what happens to her!?" He was talking about Akiko, and Scar got the clue. Scar 's face was showing slight rage, "Of course I care! I'm still human! I can still feel!"

Naruto glared at him, "Then why!?" Scar pushed him towards the window, "Cause you two forgot about me! For six whole years! You forgot about me like I never even existed!" Naruto struggled from the window," That wasn't....our...fault." Scar pushed him out the window, and he landed on top of Sasuke, the two boys groaning in pain.

Scar walked back to the hallways, not wanting to be seen by anybody there. There was a giggle in front of him, "You sure know how to make fighting easy." He looked up and saw a girl with blue hair and red eyes. She looked like a psycho but with a much more tamed look.

"Who're you?" He asked. The girl face palmed, and ran a hand through her curly blue hair. "I'm not in my host's body so you wouldn't recognize me." It clicked, "Yūrei." She laughed, "That's right! Your best friend! Yūrei the Monster!" Scar raised an eyebrow, "Best friend?"

Yūrei chuckled, "Yeah, well, no, not really. I basically have Akiko's childhood memories, so it's a little hard to keep up with reality." Scar rolled his eyes, "Why are you here?" Yūrei sighed, "Alright, my host is still in coma, which I tried to protect her from getting hurt but you guys HAD to break the Seal. Anyways, I'm probably getting a new host, which is bad news."

Scar sarcastically chuckled, "What's so bad about it?" 'Kid, this isn't a good moment to act funny.' Yūrei nervously chuckled, "He's right, this isn't good at all. It means my host is dying. It happens when they're weakened to a limit. Most don't live after their chakra drops." Scar stared at her, "You can always fix her, there's no need to complain about it to me."

Yūrei sighed, "You say it like it's easy. I've hurt her more than anyone else. More than you and the villagers here. She's not going to be happy if I do save her and nobody's going to be happy if she dies." 'You could share a piece of your chakra with her.' Kerma sounded, pitiful.

Yūrei chuckled sadly, "Easier said than done. Look out for yourself Scar, I know you're a good kid. I just wished that I hadn't done what I've done." With that, she was gone, dissolved. Scar shrugged it off and kept going. He could hear someone crying. It sounded like a grown up.

He kept walking and the crying got louder. He saw an opened door and looked in. A grown red head woman was besides Kakashi, or it looked like Kakashi anyways, who was holding her shoulder comfortingly. She was holding the person in the hospital bed's hand. Scar walked in and the floor creaked. The grown woman turned around and saw Scar.

The person next to her turned, and Scar could see that it was Kakashi. "Kakashi." "Scar." The two seemed to glare at each other until the grown red head looked at him. "So this is the rascal that beat up my niece." Scar looked at the woman and saw that Akiko resembled her. The only thing is that her hair covered one of her eyes.

Blue eye and red hair, she could've been Akiko's mother. Apparently she was her aunt. She offered her hand for him to shake. "The name's Yuuta Uyakata." He looked at her cautiously, and shook her hand, "Scar Kaminari." Kakashi was still glaring at him, but Scar wasn't noticing that. He could see Akiko.

He saw her face worn out and tired. Kakashi looked at Akiko and sighed, "After three heart attacks and still not up." Yuuta looked like she was holding back tears and Kakashi gave her a comforting hug. Scar decided to leave, only to face the blue head again. "I told you that nobody's going to be happy if she dies."

Scar  rolled his eyes, "Go bother someone else." Yūrei shrugged, "Not many people to bother after you beat up Cockatooidass and Yellow Urchin. They're basically in a rough state." Scar decided to walk out the doorway. He could see Sasuke and Naruto walking in. More like wheeled in.

Sasuke looked worse than Naruto, as he got kicked out of the window first. Scar could see Sakura running towards them. Once the two rivals were wheeled in, Sakura accidentally bumped into Scar. She turned to say, "Sorry" but saw Scar instead. Her face paled, then she looked over at Sasuke and turned to glare at him. "Demon," she hissed and hurried to catch up with Sasuke and Naruto, mostly Sasuke. Scar decided to get out of there quickly, he didn't want to be in a place where every one thought that it was all his fault.
