Finally, A Mission Worth Fighting...I Guess

It was one of our lesser missions, Capture a cat. It was really boring, and quite easy. I hid in the shadows and we all waited for Sensei's order. "Akiko, I'm at Point D." "Sasuke, I'm at Point C." "Sakura, I'm at Point B." ...Naruto! "Naruto, I'm at Point A, Believe it."  "Slow Naruto," Kakashi-sensei began, then the cat rustled into the trees. "Target has moved! Follow it!" We all moved as quickly as possible. We were all ready to attack, we just needed the signal. "Ready, NOW!" We all pounced, I curved my pounce sideways. Naruto, just landed on the cat. The cat ended up scratching his face. We passed the information, if you call informing a ribbon on and ear info, then yeah.  I got closer to the cat, Tora, and picked her up gently. Naruto was screaming through the microphone that he hated cats. I petted Tora and she began to purr.

Back at the Hokage's mission room, I could see Tora strangled to death by her owner. Naruto began to laugh at the cat and I felt bad for it. Sakura replied to Naruto's teasing, "No wonder he ran away."  I looked at the poor cat and stared at him/her, I really don't know if it's a male or female. Tora scrambled out of the owner's arms, and climbed it's way up to mine. I scratched it's little head gently, and it purred at me. It got out of my arms and wrapped around my neck. Everyone watched me in awe. The owner threw a hissy fit, as she tried to get the cat off me. The little feline scratched her owner's arm, and the owner was in shock. She looked at me (glared), and she gave up trying to hold her little cat. I took the cat off my neck and handed her to the Lady. She grabbed Tora, huffed, then left the room.  The Hokage was about to send us on a mission to babysit a kid, when Naruto interfered.  "Nooo! I wanna go on a real mission! Something challenging and exciting, not this kid stuff!" He's got a point there, all were sent on are baby missions, but he morphs into a pain. Iruka-sensei scolded him for interfering. He said we were fresh genin with no experience, that's were I pop up. "Well, if you don't send us on any real mission, we won't have any training or attacking experience," I whined. I do have to agree with Naruto.  That's when Kakashi struck us both on the head, and the Hokage lectured us about the ranks. Naruto talked about ramen, then the Hokage gave us a real mission. C-ranked. I nearly jumped in excitement.  We were to be bodyguards...to a bridgebuilder. I really wanted to resent this.  Especially since he was, RUDE!  "And you, the little one with the idiotic look on your face, you really expect me to believe you're a ninja?" he rudely pointed out. "Hahaha, who's the little one, with the idiotic look on his face?" Naruto laughed. A measuring line showed that Sasuke was the tallest, I was the second tallest, Sakura was the middle, and Naruto was the shortest. He growled once he figured out that it was him. "Eh, you with the red hair," pointed the client, "Nice to see you again...Akiko."  I sighed, "Evening, Grandpa." Everyone looked at me and then at him, then back at me.  Naruto shouted, "Huh? You're his granddaughter? But you're a full ninja!" Kakashi sighed, "Her mother was a ninja, and she was his daughter  too, Naruto. Her DNA goes through Akiko."  Naruto still didn't get it, and I really didn't want to talk about my grandpa right now.  "His name's Tazuna, the mighty bridge builder." I introduced.  

We all packed up and we were to go to The Land Of The Waves. I sulked at the idea that I had to escort my grandfather.  Naruto began to get excited, until Tazuna insulted him. I call my grandpa by his name, got a problem? I had to punch Naruto in the head to stop him from killing him.  I sensed chakra moving through the bushes, following us. Sakura asked if there were any ninja in the Land Of The Waves, I answered her question, "No, only rogue ninja go there." I began to feel ticked off, I really didn't want to be anywhere near my grandpa. He nearly drowned me, the last time I was at the Land Of The Waves. He was drunk, but I still think he did it on purpose. I snapped out of my trance, and saw that Kakashi-sensei was yelling at Sakura and Naruto. I guess they doubted Lord Hokage's power. He said we weren't going to fight any ninja, but I sensed two chakras following us. I looked at Kakashi-sensei and said, "Remember Sensei, a C-rank can turn into a B-rank very quickly."  We both nodded at each other, and I noticed him sense the chakras too.  We kept walking, until a puddle stood beside us. I felt the chakra get stronger, finally I shouted, "Everybody get down!" Two chains popped out of the puddle and surrounded Kakashi-sensei. Everyone couldn't believe their eyes, but I stood my ground. They ripped Kakashi to shreds, and they went behind Naruto. I shouted, "Sasuke!" He understood and he tangled the chains into a tree, trapping my arm.  He pulled them away from Naruto and one headed to Tazuna and Sakura. I stayed with Naruto and the chain caught in my arm was pulled away so that it wouldn't touch him. Sasuke and Kakashi  saved Sakura and Tazuna, but Naruto was still hurt. I was too, and my arm stinged. The chains had needles that stuck to my skin. Naruto looked at me amazed, then he looked at Sensei, who had both of the ninja in his arms.  He congratulated Sasuke and Sakura. Then, he looked at me and I got a congrats, for risking my life to save Naruto. My arm stinged so hard, that it burned. Sensei put the crooks down and took the chain, OUT, of my arm.  I screamed so loud that it hurt everyone's ears. My arm was poisoned, but it began to heal itself. Thanks white chakra. Naruto felt completely useless, that he stabbed his hand. The poison got out and, just like me, his hand healed. Sasuke teased him, "Hey, you're not hurt are you? Scaredy-cat!" Naruto nearly lost it. I pressed the kunai, still stuck in his hand, a little deeper so he could be quiet. I punched Sasuke on the head with my poisoned arm, a little too hard for Naruto.
