"If you're conscious, wake up!!!" I heard someone yell. I got up and nearly hit the person's face. I was still sleepy, but I could see that it was Sakura who was trying to wake me up. She looked like she'd been waiting all morning. I wiped my eyes and noticed that she handed me my ninja clothes. I took them and changed. I came out of the room with Sakura, and noticed Kakashi-sensei and Sasuke waiting for me and Sakura. Tazuna is there also, but is looking at the ground after last night's confession and arguement. I could hear Naruto snoring from the room up above. Sasuke doesn't look at me and Sakura left my side and is now glued to Sasuke. I think about how weird my life's been without a crush. Sure, Haku was once my crush, but that turned out brotherly love. I had been taken from my mother, quite possibly my father, raised by a murderer and his tool, forced to graduate at an early age, ran to my fake family, was taken to the Akuma clan, raised there, then everyone there except Seika dies, I run away to Konoha, become a genin, best friend's a lovable idiot, stuck in Team 7, met my fake grandfather again, met my old sensei, and now I'm quite possibly going to encounter him again, except I might not continue living a strange life. I look at Sasuke, who's clan was killed by his brother, and lives seperated from the group. Sakura has a crush on Sasuke and at least she knows her parents and they aren't dead. I know my mom well enough to know that she's dead, but what about my father? Did he grieve?
We said goodbye to my aunt, although we aren't related she's still my aunt, and my cousin and leave them in charge on Naruto. As we walk to the bridge, my brain automatically gets sucked into Sasuke's thoughts. So, looks like I'm back here again! my brain hoots. I see Sasuke flinch and he starts his conversation with, Get out of my head. I twitch and respond, Sorry Duck-butt, but apparently I'm somehow stuck with a communication in your head. He sighs, and answers back, Well, stop it. This just gets weird. Sakura interrupts my thoughts with, "Sasuke-kun, what's wrong?" I automatically switch into his mind and sneer, You should tell her, she looks awfully worried about you, your looks, and your sanity. I look at him through the corner of my eye and see him rolling his eyes. He responds, I don't care what Sakura thinks about me. She's annoying and a royal nag. And, I'm not telling her any of my problems. I laugh a little bit and Sakura looks at both of us, utterly confused. We appear at the bridge and I somehow think-text Sasuke my thought, Well here we are. I noticed the builders were in pain and I heard Sasuke scoff and he replies, Not a good place to work at or die. All of a sudden, we're surrounded by Mist, and we automatically know that Zabuza's here. The fog thickens a bit and as I look over at Sasuke I send one last thought reply, Don't you dare die here, because if you do, I'm not crying.
As I waited for Zabuza to make a move, I could see Sasuke shaking, and I noticed that I was trembling as well. Saskura and Tazuna were scared out of their wits, and Kakashi-sensei was about to make a a move. As soon as Zabuza spoke, my body felt like it was going to be sucked into the bridge, but I stayed firm. As he summoned the Water Clones, he made fun of Sasuke and I trembling in fear. We both looked at each other and grinned, "Not with fear...with excitement!" Kakashi ordered in a deep voice, "Sasuke, Akiko!" We grinned even more and slashed into our enemies (enemy). We arrived in a more calm form, that Zabuza showed up. "They can see through Water Clones, eh? Well, they've grown up." I looked sharply to see that Haku (masked) and Zabuza were standing, side by side. "That means that a rival has emerged, isn't that right Haku?" asked Zabuza. "Hai," replied Haku. "I'll fight him," Sasuke volunteered. I nearly scolded him, but I kept my mouth shut. Was I really going to let a comrade fight my brother-like teammate? "He's an impressive youth," Haku yapped. I felt my own fist clench in anger and caution. I didn't want anyone to die for me, especially against Haku, but I didn't want to die either. I wanted my comrades safe, but Haku was also my comrade. He wasn't evil, just following orders. Then, Haku lunged at Sasuke, I could hear his chakra moving. To my surprise, Sasuke deflected his attack. Zabuza seemed surprised that Sasuke could see to that speed. As the two were attacking each other, my mind automatically switched on, and I deflected both attacks. I heard both softly whisper, "Akiko..." I looked at my duck-butted comrade, and smiled, "I'll handle my own kind, and you take care of yours." He looked confused, but backed away a little. Now, it was me and Haku.
