He knows.
Oh Kami help me he knows.
His face looked directly at her, and she regretted stepping towards him. He was a mess, his hair was messy, his eyes watery and red from crying, tears stained on his skin. He even stuttered as he said her name. "A-Ak-ik-ko?" She nodded, and found herself engulfed by a hug. "You were gone for so long," his voice broke halfway through the sentence. "Jiro, your brother..." "I know, Motsumura told me. I was worried about you."
Akiko forced herself not to move. Jiro hugged her as if he never wanted to let her go. "Jiro. I didn't know you would miss me so much." "I like you so much, I wanted to go looking for you. A week I could stand, but then, after a month, I didn't want to assume that you were dead." Akiko hugged him back tightly, "I'm not dead, just different." Jiro sighed, "I'm different too."
Akiko pulled away only to see Jiro's face crumbling in sadness. "I see that you've come back, Akiko," a voice behind them spoke. They looked to see Kakashi, waiting. "What is it?" Her voice went cold. Since her emotions were turned off, she didn't feel any excitement to see Kakashi. Kakashi gave Jiro a glance and Jiro looked away, guilty of something.
"Hokage wants to talk to you," Kakashi stated. Akiko huffed and kissed Jiro quickly on the lips, "I'll be back." She walked next to Kakashi to the Hokage. "Where have you been?" He asked. "Classified," she replied coldly. Kakashi looked at her weirdly until they reached The Hokage's office. Shizune held a green jacket. Akiko rolled her eyes, causing Tsunade to tick.
"Today you have been selected as a Chunin." Akiko raised an eyebrow, "I didn't even win, I just got beat up." "We've heard from Motsumura Uyakata, that you were able to fight your demon. Control it, and in the end, merge chakra. This is a highly rare case, and put to good use for Konoha. You were able to withstand Gaara of the Sand, which many die trying. You earn the rank, Chunin by the actions you've done for Konoha." Akiko's pissed expression wasn't really something she could change, but she slightly felt her anger boiling. "So, my accomplishments to you mean that I'm a simple weapon?" She hated that term, Zabuza and Haku used it so much that it sickened her.
"Yes, that is right child," an elder voice rang from behind her. She turned to see a man in a robe, bandages covering one of his eyes. He looked reaaaally old. Akiko gave him a sharp glare and he kept talking. "A child of Sena Uyakata, jinchuuriki of the Infinite Tailed Beast, and Zabuza Momochi, the Demon of the Mist, you are one of our most important weapons. The people in this village depend on your such power, even Naruto Uzumaki." "Danzo!" Tsunade warned.
Akiko's fists tightened, "Why don't you just contact Scar? He's stronger than me." "We've tried to contact him, but as you should know, he is a stone. A powerful and fearless Shinobi who fears nothing, and cares for nothing. He doesn't care about Konoha, or anybody here. But you do, and I think you should know that unless you want everybody you care about gone, that you should accept being Konoha's Weapon." Shizune glared at him, but nobody could defeat Akiko's glare, not even Tsunade.
Shizune handed over Akiko her new green jacket, and Akiko took it. "I've killed people mercilessly. I can kill you too," she threatened. "Child, I have seen different wars. If you kill me, you'll be marked for treason," he stated. Akiko shrugged, "Word of the wise, nobody uses me, not even you." She left the Hokage's office. Kakashi was trying to keep up but he eventually lost her. Akiko, was minding her own business, she hadn't seen Motsu in a while. Maybe he was hiding from her, like he had done her entire time in Konoha.
She threw a kunai at a tree, repeated the steps a couple times until she got bored. "Hey, Akiko! You up there?" Amber. She hadn't seen the brunette in a long time. "You can sure as hell see me!" Akiko replied. She climbed down and walked up to Amber. "Hey." "Hey." "How's Scar?" "Well, he woke up a long time ago, went missing, then appeared again."
Akiko ruffled her hair, "Was gone about the same time as I was?" Amber shook her head, "Nope, he was gone for a week. You were gone for a whole month, at least that's what I heard." Akiko looked down as she spoke, "Do you ever feel like you're being used?" Amber looked at her in surprise, "Sometimes, it depends. Like, used, how?" Akiko looked at her, "Like, you're destined to do something, and you know what it is, but, you don't want to do it. Being used, being "prepared" for something that people are just waiting to happen. Something...bad."
Amber and Akiko sat down on a bench in the park they had walked to. "Most times it feels that way. Do you feel like you're being used?" Akiko wasn't taken back by the question, she didn't even answer. She simply looked at Amber directly in the eyes, and from the look she received, Amber sighed. "What do you think they, whoever they are, are going to make you do?"
Akiko didn't want to answer. The way Danzo had spoken about Scar, he made him seem like a threat. Something that many people would believe any day. Her breath hitched as she silently spoke, "They're gonna make me kill Scar."

Hey guys, so I've got bad news, this book is coming to an end. I loved this book. I started it two years ago, and it was nowhere near as popular as it is now.
The next chapters are dedicated to something Shadow3456 and I have been planning for at least a year now. The next chapter will be much more interesting, and the final, well, it will be the end to this beautiful book.
Love you all
