I woke up screaming.

I didn't remember why, only that my burning head was practically spitting flames everywhere in my body.

Yuuta ran in, and I didn't remember much after that, only that I blacked out after that.

I woke up on a hospital bed. Yuuta was asleep next to me. It was my, third? No, fourth week in The Village Hidden in Shadows. Kakashi had left the village the day after I got here. He visited at least once a week. But no visits this week.

My head was still burning. It felt like a terrible fever, but worse. I could just barely open my eyes. "No training today, you need to rest," I heard Yuuta say. I huffed, "But I can still train." "Not today Akiko," hat was her final reply. I sighed, and agreed. I got back into the hospital bed.

My head was still burning, slightly even more than usual. I didn't go back into a blackout, which I surprisingly remember very well. It was of Naruto, me, and some boy who looked very familiar. At first it was the three of us at Ichiraku, I think. Then it changed to a battle. I beat up Ino and Sakura. I sort of remember seeing the boy beat up Sasuke.

He looked familiar, but why? I didn't know him. Maybe I do, or maybe....maybe I just forgot. My head started burning even more. I winced and Yuuta noticed. Then, she walked out the door and bumped into someone. I heard her talk to someone outside.

The person turned out to be Kakashi. He cut his training with Sasuke to come here. He walked into the room and sat where Yuuta was sitting. "Are you okay Akiko?" There was something different about him, he sounded, almost fatherly. I shook my head. I turned around to look at him, only to hear him take a sharp breath.

"It'll be over soon, don't worry," he smiled at me. I shrugged off the pain and smiled back. Yuuta walked in and sighed. "Everybody here is an idjit," she growled. Kakashi chuckled, "You still call people that?" "Of course I do, it's my thing," she replied pretty weirdly.

Kakashi walked out and looked back at us with a smile. Yuuta started laughing out of nowhere. I looked at her confused, she saw my expression and readjusted herself. "He was waiting for three hours outside, so he had to say that he was your guardian so that they could let him in."

I smiled, and laughed a little. My head still burned, but not so much. Yuuta got up and walked towards the exit, "Get some rest, we'll be back in a while." I pretended to be asleep and waited until she left. Once I heard the door close, I crept out of bed. I peeked through the door. Yuuta wasn't there, and neither was Kakashi.

I sensed Kakashi and Yuuta's chakra somewhere togeher. They both seemed calm, but Yuuta's chakra was spiking, with worry. Kakashi's was alright, unlike when we first came here. They seemed to be talking to each other or something.

I quietly walked out the door, and towards the exit. It was surprisingly warm, and the hospital was cold. I walked around, I didn't know the place very well, since all I did was train. I saw a playground, which was full of kids. A little girl with blonde hair tied into a ponytail was sitting alone on a swing.

There were lots of kids around, but she was sitting alone. I sat on a swing next to her. "Why is such a pretty little girl like you so alone?" I asked her. She looked at me, she had brown eyes, which were tearful. "The other kids won't play with me, they think I'm a freak," she replied. She was only around five, but she seemed like a little innocent child.

I looked at the ground, "When I first came to my village, lots of people considered me a freak, only a few people thought differently." She wiped her eyes and looked at me with concern, "Why would anybody think you're a freak? You're pretty, and really nice. I like your eyes, it matches your hair. Nobody should think you're a freak."

I looked at her. She might be five, but she is really smart, for anybody her age. She was smiling at me, and in return, I ruffled her hair. "Rei! Where are you?" A male voice was calling. The girl, who I now knew was named Rei, turned towards the voice. "Hide?" She called back.

A man, around the age of twenty, came in front of us. He had white hair, and looked like he would've been a better assassin. "Where the hell have you been?" He yelled. Rei looked at the ground, "I tried to play with the kids, but they called me a freak." His expression changed into a really caring one.

It hardened when he faced me, "And you? What are you doing here with Rei-chan?" I shrugged, "I found her sitting here alone." He scoffed, then grabbed Rei's hand. "We've got to go, get Kitsune, we're leaving," those were his words. Rei looked at him confused, "Kitsu-San left with Deida." The guy rolled his eyes, "I swear to Jashin, I'm gonna kill him."

He looked at me, "Are you a Sensory Type?" I nodded. "Find the chakra of a jerky blonde and a little girl." I nodded again, then focused. Sure enough, the people they wanted to find were coming this way. "They're coming this way right now," I replied.

The guy was still holding Rei's hand. He headed around the corner. Curious, I saw vaguely familiar hairstyles. The guy who Rei called Hide, reached a yellow haired guy with an upset expression on his face. He was holding a girl's wrist who had red hair, that grew red ears and a tail as soon as she saw Hide.

I knew her, from somewhere. A weird dream or something. "Where have you been? First Rei-chan, then you and Kitsune? I swear Deidara, you are one irresponsible bastard." Hide had a lot to say, then he punched "Deidara" in the face. "What the hell, Hidan, un!" Was the reply. I laughed.

I walked away from the "soon to be" fight. I stopped when I heard, "I hate looking at you! You make me sick!" I turned, and saw a red haired girl on top of another blonde. Someone was watching, a boy, the same boy. The scarlet haired girl looked familiar. Was she, me? The blonde looked like Ino. Who was the boy? He looked familiar, but who was he?

I felt a tap on my shoulder, and saw Rei behind me, with the girl named Kitsune. "We've got to go, but thank you," she said. I was a little confused, "Why thank me?" "Because now we're friends, and we can visit here often," she was smiling. I smiled too, "I want you to listen to some advice before you go." I looked at Kitsune, "The two of you."

Rei and Kitsune nodded. "One day, you'll be full ranked shinobi, and you'll have enemy. Some will be friends, some actual enemies. Remember: Friends and Family before anything else." They nodded again, and Kitsune said, "We'll remember." "REI! KITSUNE!"

"We've got to go, bye," they both said. "Bye," I replied. I walked back to the hospital and spotted Kakashi and Yuuta waiting. Oh no. "Where were you?" Yuuta growled. I gulped, "At the playground." Kakashi was really calm, which scared me. "We train early tomorrow, get to the house," Yuuta snarled.

I nodded and hurried to Yuuta's home. Kakashi said that he had to go to Konoha again. I sighed and understood. Yuuta was mad, really mad.

'Now you've done it, we're gonna get killed.'

'Did I ask you anything?'

'You just did.'

'Shut up.'

'How about you shut up?'

'You shut up.'

'You first.'

'Age before beauty.'

'What beauty?'

'Haha shut up.'

'Night you annoying brat.'

'Night, you pushover.'
