The chirping of birds was something that brought peace to the base at Pearl Harbor, especially once you factor in what had occurred nearly overnight. Due to the sudden attack by the Sirens, and the vouching words by a few Kansen, the alliance had been rebirthed once again.
Azur lane was once again together.
From across the globe, the Kansens were coming together again and sailing to their home away from home once more. Some arrived by plane, others were still sailing, but the general beliefs were that everyone will be able to see each other again.
The vouchers that spoke out helped cull the attempt on Z73's life, and each one came from the Kansens who went to support her before being turned away from the battle with the newest major threat: Adapter. Though, word of Z73's condition had already began spreading, and as expected, many things were being done in the meantime.
Speaking of...
Purple eyes opened as sunlight hit her face, the tweeting of birds slowly bringing Z73 from slumber. She sat up in bed, rolling her neck to crack it while stretching out to unwind after the long sleep.
It wasn't without its unpleasantries though, as Z73 had a headache from the beer she drank last night. Not one to let it stop her, she still stood and shambled to the bathroom, getting herself cleaned up from the night's ails.
Cleaning her face off, she looked into the mirror to see how terrible she looked now. Sure, nothing was actually out of the ordinary on her face, but when looking into her eyes, they looked bleak and dull, nothing like her usually shining gems of Amethyst that were her eyes.
"At this point, I might ask Vestal for some Anti-depressants or something..." Speaking to herself, she dried off her face and left the bathroom, getting her jacket and everything back on before finally stepping out of the room.
No one was in the halls, but with the time of day it seemed to be, that would make sense. Who would be still sleeping at noon in a Kansen base?
Only two people: The Sick, and the Injured.
So off she went, having traveled these halls as another person before so the layout was still familiar. It was easy to make her way down and to the entrance, but after leaving would be the hard part.
She opened the door and stepped outside, still seeing very little activity, but that was bound to change once she got closer to the Markets and the Park. Deciding on which was better, she was soon on her way towards the park section of the base to relax with some fresh air.
"Oh~? Is that who I think it is~?"
...
Z73 took in a deep breath, hearing the voice that belonged to someone she would really want to gut right now. With the reunification of Azur lane, she knew they would meet again at some point, but with her condition...
She turned around and looked up, seeing a bright red pair of eyes staring down at her with smug satisfaction. "Akagi..."
"Well look at you! Even after all that had happened, you're still so tough in the face of someone you shouldn't be~." The Vixen was an expert at hiding her emotions, but her eyes didn't lie, and never could.
She was still unbelievably furious about what Z73 did, if not more so than when they last saw each other. Not to mention, she looked sadistically happy to see Z73, and the reason was clear as day.
"So, what happened to your rigging German? Did you lose it~?"
"What happened to your punishment?"
Akagi went to snap back, but she got yanked back and choked, and Z73 finally noticed that she had a choker on...and there was a rope attached to someone else who finally appeared. "Akagi, what did I say about antagonizing anyone?"
