Now this was certainly a sight to see.
It's midday in the German Kansen base, activities at their highs for the day as per usual, and everyone from the trip to Russia had finally come back thanks to the air being surprisingly empty, so a plane ride was easy to get. Though, even with everyone moving about as usual in this hustle, there's always a sight that can draw eyes, especially in a crowded place like this.
That sight being a Siren walking alongside a Kansen.
Adapter had finally told the truth even she didn't know about until recently, and so, the two have finally connected all the dots on the many things they shared. The love of Caramel, the surprisingly similar moral compass, and even their love for those close to them, albeit on different sides of the equation, still meant everything to them now.
With full honesty, the truth coming out only helped to fully cement what the two were seeding this entire time: Their companionship. They've fought against and beside each other so much that they know the other as well as they know themselves.
As twins usually do.
As of now, Adapter was walking hand in hand with Z73, holding her one remaining arm as they walked through the streets, a small smile carved seemingly permanently on the Destroyer's face. Adapter beside her was much more nervous, and it was for obvious reasons she was.
"...Can you tell me why you're still guiding me by the hand?"
"Well, wouldn't want you getting cold feet like I did. I was the same way a few months back, but I learned it's best to just jump in and hope for the best."
She did want to ask more of what she meant, but it was clear form the start once that smile came to her face. Adapter is the long lost sister of the long lost sister, so naturally, she's dragging her over to their home so she can be reunited with her family.
Barring only one issue...
Adapter stopped, bringing Z73 to a halt as well and drawing her eyes. "Do you...do you really think they'll accept me? After what I've done?"
"Hm? Like what?"
She gave her Kansen sister the stink eye. "...The whole disgusting as 23, the fighting with you, the killing...ring a bell?"
"Oh that...I guess it's up in the air if they'll take that to face or not, but with all this revealed, and hell, with my backing, I'm sure they can at least try."
"I don't know..." Its only natural she would be worried over this, especially with how Z73 herself was before she met her sisters.
Of course, having gone through this herself, she knew just how to help bring Adapter's confidence up for the occasion. She let go of her hand and put a finger under her chin, pulling up her gaze so they were eye to eye.
"Chin up sis, if you go through with this, acceptance or not, I'll still treat you to a good meal of dinner and some caramel treats after."
"...R-Really?"
"Really." She then held her hand out once more. "So, ready to see them?"
The Siren hesitated still, looking at the outstretched hand for a moment before letting the tension leave her, and taking it. "Yeah...I'm ready."
With nothing more than a hum, they continued on their way to the residence of the Destroyers, not too far from where they were now since they've been walking the whole time. Adapter only grew more and more nervous as they drew closer, and as her older sister(which still felt weird to think seeing that she's always been the youngest), Z73 let go of her hand and pulled her in for a one armed hug.
