Assassination of Bodhisattva, Part 1
-----

"So this is how it'll go between us, will it?" Adapter was still walking along, long having gotten to shore and now walking across from the two Enforcers, who had made perfectly sure to place themselves between her and the other two.

They didn't respond to her words, and she knew why, since most Enforcers were essentially mindless robots, fit only to carry out their Arbiter's assignments. She was mostly speaking to get her own thoughts out, knowing the two won't respond in anyway.

"You know, I'm almost curious enough to see what you Enforcers do on your off times. Do you sit around like statues, waiting for orders to come through so you can move, or do you have some sort of hobbies that you enjoy?"

...

"Heh...well, shouldn't expect a Bot to answer my questions."

She stopped walking, now facing them down street, where the figures of Z73 and Hierophant could be faintly seen in the background. Her single eye shined as she lowered her stance, watching as the two Enforcers tightened their own in preparation for hostile contact.

"Now, I know this is basically treason...but I'm just following orders eh? I was told to stop this whole thing, and what do you know, you're apart of this catastrophe."

She flashed a smile, slowly shifting her stance to mimic Z73's Boxer approach. "Since that's the case, I'll just handle the job like I'm suppose to, so no hard feelings in the end."

As she spoke those words, the rigging of the two girls came into play, and the uniqueness of them threw her off for a moment. Both were mere tassels attached to their dresses, with Regulation's guns built into said tassels, while Orthodoxy's were floating railguns.

"Oh...well, this'll make it fun."

On queue, the two fired at her, Orthodoxy's railguns clearly being the deadlier of the two with the sheer speed of the projectiles. Adapter barely avoided being hit by them, but easily maneuvered around the shells of Regulation's guns.

As she grew closer, they took the equal steps back whenever they could, keeping the ranged harassment to force her away from them both. While Adapter was obviously gifted and dangerous, this kind of tactic was her only real issue.

The two Enforcers slid to a stop, aiming their guns in different directions before firing, the railgun's rods firing towards Adapter's feet while the shells aimed for over her head. She was definitely suspicious of it, but couldn't think it over now while they're screaming towards her.

She did a small hop over the rods, barely having to duck under the shells as they flew past her and harmlessl-

BOOM!!

Heat slammed into her back, catching her off guard as the shells blew up behind her. 'Shit! She timed them?!'

She wasn't given a moment to think, as Regulation fired yet again, showing that she was also able to reload much quicker than her compatriot could. Adapter quickly took hold of this new situation, bending low and sprinting straight for them, evading both the shells and the resulting timed blast.

As both reloaded their weapons, Adapter passed by a corner store sign, one propped up long before then events of this Eclipse. Her quick thinking came to play as she grabbed the sign, hurling it like a frisbee towards Regulation.

The sign was caught by Orthodoxy, who shielded Regulation with herself from the attack. Adapter smiled as she saw that, finally realizing an opportunity to attack.

'So she really is blinded! Regulation wears that wrapping over her eyes, meaning she's using Orthodoxy as her helper, leaving her open for other things...'
