A lone truck was traveling through the frozen wastelands of Eastern Siberia, going on warm as the two occupants simply bided their time till they arrived at their destination. Both of them were easily recognizable, known across the world as heroes and saviors.

They were two Kansen of the Russian Navy, Kiev and Kronshtadt. Kronshtadt was the one driving the truck, with Kiev watching out the window in complete boredom from the endless white.

"Mmh...when will we get there?"

"Be patient Kiev, the city isn't far from us now, and when we arrive, we'll find the target and take her with us." Kronshtadt kept her eyes on the road, not taking them off for a second since they were already hard enough to navigate with the snow covering large patches of it.

"I know, but...what if she decides to not come with us?"

"If she declines...I believe that's why I was sent along. If manpower and strength wasn't needed, I'm sure Rossiya or someone else would have come along, but they didn't pull anything back for this."

Kiev quickly looked over to her. "I-Is she really that dangerous...?"

"Calm down, I'm sure she knows better than to get that physical in an environment like this."

Sadly, those words were somewhat lies, as Kronshtadt also didn't know how she would be when they met her. In fact, they're only going by the barest of information, and they were told that it was all that was managed to be scraped up about their target.

During World War Two, the Germans developed a Destroyer that was painted a Jet Black, and for reasons still unknown, all men who worked on the ship itself and those sent to fight on it were never seen again, obviously having been killed, but the things only get weirder from there. There were no documents, nor reports, nor photographs of this ship, and they only managed to find a single thing pointing back to the existence of the ship: A small stack of documents recently searched through by a young Historian, and the only known surviving documentation of this ship was found within.

The ship was of the same class as the rest of the German's destroyers, but as stated, it was the only one kept under such illusory. Which leads to their mission.

"Kiev, did you remember to read over the details they gave us?"

"Ah...yes."

"Please re-read them for me will you? It's best we are refreshed on the information before we can no longer refer to it."

Kiev opened the glovebox, quickly sorting through the odds and ends inside before pulling out the papers they were given. "Okay...some years ago, a young German woman appealed for Russian citizenship. A quick background check showed that there was nothing in her records that existed, and then...well, we only know she got her citizenship, but not how she got past that part."

Kronshtadt nodded, humming as she thought. "Perhaps that's how we learned of all this? Maybe she threatened them and showed off some of her supernatural power as a Kansen, and thus she's the prime suspect for this manhunt?"

"Maybe..."

The rest of the ride was in silence, and not much longer did it take for them to see the city in the horizon. Yakutsk, the coldest city in the world, and the home of a true military enigma.

The city was in the state they expected it to be in: Cold, barren, and damn near inhospitable. Kronshtadt got out of the truck and kept the engine running, waving Kiev to come out with her.

"Is it okay to leave it running?" She closed the truck's door, quickly making her way to her comrade.

"If we don't leave it running, the engine will freeze over and we'll be stuck here until the Winter ends."
