It was silent on the water's surface, the waves gently rolling onto the shores nearby all while crashing into the docks just next to the French Naval base. In said waters however, there were two black smudges slowly growing larger, before they both breeched the surface, revealing themselves to the black sky once more.
Da Vinci and Torricelli broke the water's surface, swimming to shore and stepping onto the sands before dispelling their riggings. Da Vinci stretched and rolled her shoulders, while Torricelli had her eyes closed, seemingly pondering something.
Da Vinci finished her exercises and looked to her fellow Sub. "So, was that all of them?"
Torricelli opened her eyes and nodded. "Looks like it. I count 62 in total...wow...we really went to work didn't we?"
"We sure did."
Da Vinci and Torricelli began to glow, and they changed into Adapter and Z73 respectively. Z73 had collected every single cube from the ocean floor that belonged to the girls, making sure not to miss a single one, including the ones they used just now.
Adapter sighed and looked out to the Ocean, where blue waters met the black sky. "Still surprised you managed to convince me to help you collect those..."
"Hey, I appreciate it no matter what."
"My issue is that my life would be easier if they're gone, especially in dealing with you after all this is done."
Z73 chuckled, taking Torricelli's cube from her chest and putting it in her storage as well. "You say that, but we need allies. Compared to the other fleets, this is still not that much, and there's some real tough cookies in the other groups to deal with if they're the same as they were."
Adapter said nothing for a while, before sighing as she found no reason to deny her words. It's true that they made it through the fight, unharmed at that, but it was exhausting.
Some other factions have twice the amount as this group, so how would they fare in that?
With the logic clear in sight, she let it happen and collected all the cubes of those they killed, and now here they stand in the shores, figuring out their next move. Marco escaped before the fight even began, and they need to figure out where she went before things get even uglier than they already are.
...
"Well, any ideas?" Adapter looked to Z73, entirely lost on what to do next.
"...Just one, and I really hope she's okay from this."
Adapter nodded, letting her go on. Z73 walked to the water's edge, looking out towards the water.
"Shinano. She has her prophetic dreams, and she's versed in these mental things, so hopefully she's safe from this mind control situation."
"And if she isn't?"
"We're fucked, that's what"
The notion having been said, they decided to take the quickest path they could to Japan, and that was to chose one of the Carriers they took out and use their planes. At the very least, so long as they go over land, they can get to Japan without much issue, especially since Kansen planes are quite fast compared to other planes of their era.
Z73 used Joffre's cube, quickly taking her form and bringing out one of her planes. "Hope you don't mind, but I've never actually flown a plane myself before."
"Neither have I, so I don't care much about who's flying."
"Good, then hop in the back."
"It's got a back?"
