"If you don't like it, I left the receipt in the box," Blake said as soon as they stepped into his room. He walked towards the closet to get her present. She laughed softly at how nervous he seemed to give her the present he picked out. Honestly, he had nothing to worry about; anything he got, she would like as long as he put some kind of thought into it.

She sat on the corner of his bed. He pulled out a small, rectangle-shaped box before walking to the bed, sitting beside her. "Calm down, Lake. I'm sure I'll love whatever it is." He let out an awkward laugh, running his fingers through his hair, making her laugh.

He passed his present to her as she passed him his: a medium-sized rectangle box and a small bag. He set it on his lap, nodding his head towards her. "You first." she nodded, sliding her fingers on top of the cool silver wrapping paper. Ripping into it, she pulled the lid off the box. It was a small, black, heart-shaped necklace.

"Um, it's an audio recording necklace with a USB. You can record and save audio to it and listen to them later. I thought it would be nice to help you keep track of everything you have to do. To be honest, Kandy told me she was going to get you a laptop, and I thought this would go well with that," he said while fidgeting with his rings, waiting for her reaction.

She picked the necklace out of the box, looked at it more closely, noticing the button on the side to press when you want to record audio. "I left a message on it for you to listen to later. Umm, do you li-Oof!" He was cut off mid-sentence by her launching herself into his arms. She held him tightly.

"Thank you so much, I love it," she whispered into his shoulder, making him smile as she slowly pulled away, looking at the necklace in her hand. She loved the gift; not only did he get her a cute, functional gift, but he also left her a personalized message on it. She was excited to hear what he left when she was home later.

She looked up at him, grinning. "Could you help me put it on? Then you can open yours." He nodded, and she turned her back to him, moving her hair to the side. He gently placed the necklace around her neck. The metal fell on top of her shirt as he clasped it in place. She turned to face him, fixing her hair back in place.

Setting the box on her lap to the side, she pointed to his gifts. "Your turn."
He grinned, picking up the smaller bag first, looking inside, pulling the paper out of the way. His face immediately lit up. "Now this guy looks kinda familiar," he let out a little laugh, pulling out the dark purple bear wearing a small black jacket.

She bit her lip, watching his reaction. "I saw him in the claw machine at the mall and had to get him for you." He smiled wide, looking at her while cuddling the bear against his chest. "I love him, thank you. I think I'll name him... Nightrider." She couldn't help but laugh at his choice for the tiny bear's name.

He set the bear to the side before picking up the box, pulling the paper off, opening it. His eyes widened as he saw the new black leather jacket sitting inside.

"Oh my god, Em, for real?" He pulled it out as she smiled widely.
"It's to make up for the jacket I literally stole from you. It's real leather and everything, super thick." He looked at her in disbelief because he understood how expensive this gift must have been. He stood up, sliding it on, adjusting it, apparently wanting to get a feel for the jacket.

"I fuckin' love this! Thank you, Em!" She stood up, and he pulled her into a hug.
She giggled into his chest. "Oooh, Blake's got a girlfriend!? Blake's got a girlfriend!" Alex sang as he skipped into the room, dancing around them in a circle, laughing. They pulled apart. Blake glared slightly at him, but Emma could tell he wasn't really mad at all at his little brother ruining their cute little moment.

Blake ran his fingers through his hair as his father appeared in the doorway. "Alex, I told you not to bother them." Alex pouted before skipping right out of the room, still singing. As Alex passed, Mr. Black waved a hand towards them.
"Continue," he said, turning and closing the door behind him, making them both share a laugh.
