"You're quite the girl, Emma Pear," Blake said, removing his arm from over his eyes and looking up at the ceiling. She followed his lead, rolling onto her back and pulling the blanket up over her chest, groaning slightly from the lingering ache.
"What do you mean by that?"
He sat up, pushing his tousled hair out of his face before climbing off the bed. Her eyes followed him, tracing his movements as he walked towards the corner. He pulled off the condom, a soft plop as he tossed it into the trash bin. "Well, I mean, for a quiet girl, you're pretty loud during sex," he said with a grin, flopping back down onto the bed and pulling the blanket over his lower body.He laughed loudly when he saw her face flush a bright, furious red. "I. am. not. loud," she shook her head, refusing to believe reality.
Tilting his head to the side, he raised a brow playfully. "Oh, but you are, baby. It's okay, I loved it." She slapped his bare chest softly, her cheeks burning, suddenly feeling intensely shy. "Oh my god, shut up!" she said before burying her face into her hands. She couldn't believe all this had really just happened to her. This summer was one of the best and most unexpected summers of her life. The guy she used to admire from afar was now the guy currently lying naked in her bed.
He leaned over, pressing soft kisses along the side of her neck. "Umm, it's okay, Em, it was very sexy." She giggled softly as he pulled the blanket off her naked body, rolling on top of her, holding himself up while peppering her face with light, tender kisses.
They both heard a soft beeping noise, making Blake sigh and hide his face in her neck. "It's my phone. I bet anything it's my mom." He climbed off her reluctantly, walking over to his pants on the floor, picking them up and pulling out his phone. He looked at her, holding a finger to his lips, a silent warning, before answering the phone.
"Hello?"
She heard yelling through the phone, a sharp, distant sound, realizing it was Ms. Black fussing at him. He held the phone back slightly from his ear, one eye closed in exasperation, before placing it back in place. "Mom... mom, listen, yes, I'm fine... yes, I know I was gone longer than I should have been." He rolled his eyes, holding the phone between his ear and shoulder while picking up his boxers, pulling them on. Emma slipped her naked body underneath the blanket, watching him, a small smile playing on her lips.
"Mom, I just, hmmm..." He looked over at her, her hair a charming mess, cheeks still flushed, biting her lip, holding the blanket over her chest. "I got distracted... yes, I'm coming home right now... yes, okay, I'll see you in a few minutes, bye." He hung up the phone with a long sigh. He looked at her, shrugging, a wry grin on his face.
"I hate to just leave you after everything, but that was mom telling me to get home." She pouted, her disappointment clear; she had been hoping to have more time with him before he had to leave.
He slid his pants up, buttoning and zipping them up before walking over to her.She raised a brow at him, a silent question in her gaze. He gently grabbed her chin, angling it up before bringing his mouth to meet hers in a slow, gentle kiss. It was soft, a sweet promise, lingering for a moment before he slowly pulled away, their lips a breath apart.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow." He fully pulled away, pulling on his shirt, covering his impressive torso. She looked at him slightly confused. "Why? Are we going somewhere?"
He cracked open her room door, looking back at her with a bright grin. "I just thought we could go for a drive together, maybe get dinner after... is that okay?" She hid her smile behind her hand for a moment, finding him utterly adorable, a nervous excitement fluttering in her chest. She played with the sheets for a moment before whispering, her voice soft, "That's perfect." He smiled at her, nodding, his eyes warm, before walking out her room door, closing it softly behind him.As soon as the door closed, she let out a girlish giggle, collapsing back on the bed, hiding her face in her hands, a flush of pure happiness washing over her. She heard his car start up outside and climbed off the bed, wrapping her blanket around her body like a toga. Peeking out the window, she saw him inside his car, windows rolled down. He glanced up at her window, sending her a final, dazzling smile while backing out of the spot and speeding down the road.
