Later.Lizzy POV
The whole house was now packed with our foursome families. Riley and Skip came with their son Jacob. He's the same age like the twins. Their bond is completely cute. Simone couldn't bring Wyatt and William because they're at her Mom's. All the adults crowded around the living room with glasses of wine or champagne. The kids were playing in the backyard or upstairs in their rooms. Phil sipped his wine glass and smiled. "So, how's your little nerd?" He joked, referring to Jacob. Addison smacked upside his head while rolling her eyes. We laughed including Skip himself. Zack snickered. "Cmon, that's their son man." He said. I scoffed and flipped my leg over the other. "He's drunk y'all. Ignore him." I assured amusedly. Riley smiled happily. "Jacob is doing good! The teachers think he should start middle school faster. Way too smart to stay in Pre-K." She told us. Simone hadn't made herself a glass so she grabbed the bottle and poured her cup. Zack looked at her in disbelief. "You're drinking? Since when?" He asked. She smiled innocently. "You're the one who needs to drive today." She spoke. I returned the gesture and sipped. "Safety first." I joked. Bryce leaned against his chair chillingly. "You'd be surprised. We don't drink much nowadays." He added. Their eyes widened. "What?" They asked in a surprised tone. I laughed more. He chuckled. "How...come?" Phil slurred. Addison rolled her eyes while rubbing her 24-week baby bump. "Glad we have our own chauffeur." She muttered. I fake smiled. "Hello? Parents of a teenage girl, ten year old twins and a nine in a half daughter. The only difference is two of our babies moved out." I spoke sarcastically. Simone smiled shockingly. "Oh that reminds me! How's Bella? Have you spoken to her?" She asked. We quickly nodded. "Right now she's in Vancouver on tour. I'm still surprised her and Jin are still together. They've just celebrated their five year anniversary." I told her. Bryce slumped in his chair before sipping his wine. "Don't remind anyone." He mumbled annoyedly. They laughed more as I playfully threw a pillow at him. He jumped, catching it with his free hand. I'm almost completely sure they're gonna get married someday. I see the happiest smile on her face whenever she comes here with Jin. The way they laugh, hug, kiss is all passionate. She even grew closer with his brothers and formed an extremely talented group. Jace is also best friends with Jin's younger brother too so there's days I see them in one place. Riley let out a relieved sigh. "It's been so long. I'll never forget that day." She said. A moment's silence was present except the clinks of our glasses. My stomach dropped like a bucket. The 'day' she mentioned was the day Bella had brain surgery. The feeling felt absolute scary and honestly I had to be strong. Strong for her. Truthfully, I was indeed afraid something could go wrong in the ER. Usually things go wrong in the ER. One night, I had a nightmare of what happened with Valerie and the same thing occurred to Bella. That day felt loads of emotions for everyone. A surgery that would cure her from epilepsy. My parents, Bryce's parents, her friends and Jin, my siblings, our kids were in the waiting room before the doctor said everything went well. It also changed her life amazingly. I smiled. "I remember we celebrated the day. We threw her a welcome home party." I remembered. Simone smiled warmly. "How old was she? And the twins?" She asked. "Eighteen." I quickly said. Bryce took a moment to count back their ten years. Nearly all the men rolled their eyes. I covered my mouth in a snicker. Phil groaned. "They were seven!" He growled through gritted teeth. He cleared his throat. "Of course. Yup. Seven." He muttered awkwardly. Addison smiled sweetly. "I'm grateful she is finally free. Free to live her life." She said. I returned the gesture. "Me too. I thank God she's able to do things she wanted to do. I remember she happy cried after coming home from the hospital. She literally stayed for a whole week until discharged." I told them. Bryce smiled, lifting his glass up. "Thank God for taking this away so our princess can live her happy life." He spoke. We laughed, lifting our glasses up and clinking them. I kissed his lips. He kissed back. God has blessed me so much. Including our family. Riley smiled happily. "I'm forever thankful we have our son. I never knew he'd be such a genius so young. He'll probably graduate early." She spoke. Phil sipped his wine. "Just like his daddy." He said, smiling innocently. Skip grabbed the wine bottle and poured a single drop on his pants. His jaw dropped. "Fuck!" He blurted angrily. He held his stomach from sudden laughter. "Whatever! You're already drunk anyway." He giggled. Phil growled and wiped the stain. Addison took the glass from him. "That's enough. You are done. Enough." She spoke in a serious tone. He low-key pouted. I playfully rolled my eyes. Good to know these two never changed. Simone kissed Zack. "Have I ever told you I love you?" She asked. He put his glass down. "Alright. What do you want?" He asked. She giggled. "What do you mean? Can a wife say she love her man?" She asked. "You say that then ask if I'm getting you something for your birthday, Valentine's Day or Christmas. Your birthday's not too far so what is it?" He explained. Simone kept scoffing and turned to me. I smirked. "Played that game many times." I whispered in her ear. She low-key pouted. The doorbell ringed. Bryce immediately got up. "I'll get it!" He said, giving me his glass. I put it on the end table. "You know, I have this sudden urge to watch F-R-I-E-N-D-S." Riley blurted awkwardly. We laughed. "Riles, what are you talking about?" I chuckled. Addison snickered. "Same here." She agreed. Phil grabbed the remote off the table and turned on the TV. "Let's watch this then!" He beamed. As he played a F-R-I-E-N-D-S episode, Bryce arrived with someone we've never seen in a year.
