In the living room, Phil, Stew, Skip, Alyssa were sitting on the couch. They're practically hired as the birthday committee for Breanna and Jace's eleventh birthday parties. I held a clipboard with two numbered lists of their ideas for the upcoming celebrations. I cleared my throat and inhaled a deep breath. "First things first, let's go over the ideas for Jace's party again. Phil?" I asked. He cheered excitingly. "Mine is having a pool party! Water balloons, water slides! Invite all his friends and his party be talked about anywhere in school!" He beamed. Skip snickered. "Ever since you went to that Nickelodeon Cruise, you've been really finicky with water." He joked. They laughed including me. Phil smirked jokingly. "Suppose water can't remove that greasy shit on your head." He joked. I put my clipboard on my forehead while snickering quietly. Skip low-key glared. Stew hummed in response and ruffled his tips. "Looks like Elvis got competition." He joked. They laughed more. Skip fake laughed. "You should work on your screams because you're higher than Ariana!" He growled. Phil huffed irritatingly. I laughed. "Ok! Ok! Back to the party planning! Stew?" I asked. He clasped his hands and smiled. "Alright. My idea is Laser Tag! That's what happened on my eleventh birthday." He told me. Phil gasped in remembrance. "Oh yeah! I had lots of colorful slime all over my shirt and pants." He remembered. Skip and Alyssa rolled their eyes. I nodded, turning to them. "Good. Skip?" I asked. He smiled widely. "How about a sleepover? Sleeping bags, snacks and drinks, cool movies?" He suggested. Aww. That would be so cute. He once had his friends over when I was searching for my wedding dress. Phil raised an eyebrow annoyedly. "No offense but that's a everyday activity." He added. He nodded in disagreement. "No it isn't." He told him. "Yes it is." He said. "No it isn't!" Skip growled. "Yes it is!" Phil and Stew said in unison. Before an argument breaks out, Alyssa spoke. "My turn!" She blurted. I mentally breathed a breath of relief. Alyssa would be giving ideas for Breanna's birthday party. Fortunately, Meadow is still occupied with wedding plans so she couldn't be here today but she'll come to their parties. As for Jasmine, her ideas are written on the clipboard. I smiled. "The idea for Breanna's party?" I asked. She cleared her throat. "A karaoke party! She and her friends can grab a mic and funnily sing songs! Anyone else would join too. Some of us." She said, eyeballing Phil and Stew. They looked at each other confusedly. Skip low-key snickered. A karaoke party is ok but the adults wouldn't want a whole day singing till their sides hurt. I imagine it'll exhaust Jasmine more. I went over the list and found her column. "Ok. Let's go over Jasmine's. Let's see..." I trailed off. There was two ideas she suggested. One was a sleepover, second was scavenger hunt. I wasn't entirely sure about the second choice. Breanna always wanted a...my brain clicked. Sleepover! That's it! Whenever I help her with homework, she talk about throwing a sleepover birthday with her friends. Jace would love a huge birthday event like either Laser Tag or having water slides. He's very outgoing. My brain clicked. I smiled confidently. "Alright. I've chosen the ideas for both parties. For Jace's, we'll throw a pool party with water balloons and a slide! As for Skip's idea, Breanna wants a birthday sleepover so nobody's going to be here except her friends and us. Jace's party will involve everyone." I told them. Everyone had different reactions to my decision. Phil and Stew cheered happily, Skip smiled warmly but Alyssa huffed while muttering about not picking the karaoke idea. "Awesome! Kalabunga!" Phil beamed. She shrugged and chuckled. "Hopefully, nobody throws a balloon at Mom." She said. We chatted in agreement. Hopefully. And hopefully Jasmine and Rebecca don't start any drama. "The help I need from four of you is decorations, food and drinks." I continued. They nodded. Phil scoffed. "Fine with me! Since he's having a water party." He said, smirking at the last part. "I'm having a water party!" A cheerful voice echoed from across the room. We turned to see Jace in the kitchen. I laughed. "If it's ok with you." I said. He smiled widely. "Water slides? Water balloons?" He asked. Phil nodded, getting up and high-fiving him. "Breanna will only have a sleepover birthday. Let's get started!" I said. Everyone cheered. I inhaled a deep breath. Thank lord, there's one party to plan.
